Enjoy this 4-bedroom lakeside haven at the best lake around! Great Bear Lake is one of the nicest all sport lakes in Southwest Michigan with an average depth of 30 feet and a clean sandy bottom. Escape to this lake house retreat that comes with a private beach and pontoon boat, fully furnished kitchen, 4 bedrooms (sleeps 18), and beautiful dining and living room with plenty of seating. Create a memorable experience with family and friends.

Boat:
Pontoon Boat will be included with your stay (5 night minimum from June-September)
Guests will be responsible to fill gas tank upon departure. (Gas cans will be provided).

The outside of the home features a large patio with tables and chairs that overlook the lake.

Boat:
Pontoon Boat will be included with your stay (4 night minimum from June-September)

If you want to fish, please bring your own fishing gear. Fishing is great! Catch Largemouth, Perch, Northern, Bluegill, and Crappie right off of the dock. 16 and older will need to purchase a fishing license.
Fire pit = There will be enough firewood to last all week (If you need more, there will be an extra $50.00 charge)
Grill= Charcoal (you will need to provide your own charcoal)

Beach Towels:
Please bring your own. We will have a couple "emergency" towels.

During the week, you will practically have the lake to yourselves. Plus it’s not that crowded on the weekend either.

The perfect lake cabin!

We’ve rented several Michigan lake homes, and this is hands down our favorite! Everything we could have wanted was here, and the host was super-helpful throughout. Great swimming, fire pit, even a pontoon boat. Perfection!

Family had a great time. Hosts thought of everything. Water toys, games, pontoon, all the amenities added to our comfort and fun. We had to bother Chris a few times and he was very welcoming to our questions.

BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER

We celebrated my dad's 80th birthday and truly had the most amazing time. The house was spotless and decorated beautifully. It was stocked with everything we needed and more including an air mattress, extra blankets, fans, and a portable bluetooth speaker for the boat. We spent most of our time outside. Lots of corn hole and bocce ball tournaments and the fire pit was perfect and stocked with firewood. Great Bear Lake is a beautiful lake with unbelievable sunsets! You can jump right off the dock into clear, clean water. We also used the paddle boards and kayaks everyday. Fishing was awesome too! The pontoon boat was the cherry on top. We loved that the boat came with the house rental. We used it many times each day but especially enjoyed the sunset cruises. Chris, the owner, was fantastic. He was attentive with all our questions and checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back to this house. I highly recommend it.

Exceptional Lake House Getaway

They thought of everything! Organized, clean house, with all the extras! Paddle boards, kayaks, pontoon, 2 fridges for your food and BBQ grill. Garage playroom with pool table was a hit with our teens. Excellent communication with owner. Seating for large family, indoors and out. Beautiful setting for a family getaway. Highly recommend!

Great Family Lake Home

The house was everything as described inside and outside. Very clean and organized, with plenty of kitchen dishes and supplies, indoor games for kids, and plenty of beach toys, kayaks, and outdoor games. The AC was perfect! The beach was great for our young grandkids, and the splash pad was enjoyed by all, as well as the boat. The lake temperature was perfect for our stay. The beds, dressers, closets were very nice, and the bedroom setup worked well for our family of 12. Plenty of room in the kitchen and family room for all! Chris addressed and resolved an issue immediately, which was great, and something you don't always get with rentals. We caught many fish, bass, bluegill, and croppies. We also picked cherries which was fun. Easy drive to local restaurants, South Haven, and the Warren Dunes. We would rent again!

Family Vacation

Had a great time! Found everything we needed & things were labeled which made it very easy. We are a tall family & the stairs going up take a little adjustment but easily done. Used the north porch a lot! The dining table was great! Loved that there was plastic & glass dishes for the kids! Spent the whole time in the yard & lake! We all had a great time! Thanks Chris!

Peaceful Week on the Lake

Wow, this house does not disappoint! Chris thought of everything for a fun vacation on a peaceful lake. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The beds were comfortable, the house very nicely decorated, and the outdoor space was awesome! Plenty for everyone to do. We loved that there was a large yard for when the days were cooler, and we made really good use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Chris has put a lot of thought and care into this rental and it shows. We didn't have any problems, but if we did, he was super easy to communicate with. We will be back!

Everything you might need is there for you.

It was a great time for all the family. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and swimming. They enjoyed sitting on the dock and fishing as well. For the couple of rainy mornings it was nice to sit on the covered patio and look out on the lake. Very relaxing.

Great Family Gathering House

Newly renovated, clean, vacation home. Lots of watercraft (pedal boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards). Large tables inside and outside are perfect for large groups. Fire pit with included wood great for s'mores. A few weeds in the sandy entry to the lake, but great sandy beach area with lots of chairs.

Relaxing Getaway

We had an amazing time staying at this lake cottage. The house was clean, comfortable, designed to promote gatherings and easy to navigate due to the extremely thoughtful and clear organization of the host. House offers plenty of activities, both indoor and outdoor, to keep everyone of all ages entertained. Hosts truly thought of every last detail when renovating this cottage. The lake is beautiful, calm and we had it mostly to ourselves the week we were there. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our daily paddle boarding, kayaking, boat rides or relaxing under the trees by the water. Chris and Julie were amazing hosts, very responsive and helpful with any questions we had during our stay. It is obvious that they genuinely care and want to provide you with the best experience possible. It was our first family vacation and could not have asked for a better trip! We made so many unforgettable memories. Our kids loved this house so much, they started calling it “home” and pleaded that we never leave. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful, newly renovated property for a lake getaway

We stayed in July 2021 with two families of 2 adults + 3 small children each. The house was fantastic with plenty of room for everyone and lots of space to hang out, indoors and outdoors. Great Bear Lake was a perfect location for a summer getaway, and Chris was the best host. He was very helpful with all of our questions before the trip and available throughout the week to help with any small thing that came up. We are already starting to make plans to come up again next summer. Highly recommend!

Beautiful lake. Wonderful cottage.

What a great place to spend time with family! The house is newly remodeled and well appointed. The owners thought of every detail needed to make a lake house vacation perfection. Everything was labeled, well organized, and extremely clean. Chris, the owner, was responsive, extremely helpful, and easy to work with. He put his renters’ needs as priority one! The kayaks, paddle boards, lake toys, Lily Pad, pontoon boat, an abundance of life jackets, outdoor seating and patio were fantastic. The kids played for hours out on the lake when the skies would clear. Despite the rainy week, the games, puzzles, kids books, and TVs made our time inside together even better. The kitchen is well-stocked, plus the extra drink fridge is super handy. It was a wonderful week!!!

This rental exceeded expectations. The home had plenty of room for a large group and was very clean. The beds were comfortable, linens nicely furnished and everything we needed was available. The lake was a huge win. The water was clean, water depth shallow upon entry, and has a sandy shoreline, great for kids of all ages. The kayaks and paddleboards were a hit with all, and the floating pad in the water was the best part of the stay for the kids. Great location, not far from South Haven. I look forward to our repeat stay.
