Pleasant Cottage in Grandcamp-Maisy, located in a quiet environment, in the heart of the landing beaches, 700 meters from the fishing port, the beach and shops.
Duplex cottage on the ground floor in a typical old renovated house, it can accommodate 8 people.

Good base for touring D Day bases.
As a group of 4 adults, we stayed in the property for 4 nights - used it as a base to visit the many sites and museums dedicated to WW2. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The only downsides were the lack of wardrobe hanging space and the need to take extra care on the steep, twisting staircase. Hopefully we will return. Thank you.

Great place!
Wonderful experience! Very clean and a good size gîte with a lovely garden. Visited with three generations of family (6ppl) and lots of room for us all. Liked private shower for each bedroom. Easy process, and owner very quick to answer questions. Grandcamp-Maisy is a great seaside vacation village, and good base for all the sites of the area. We came from Canada - sad to leave Normandy, hope to return!

Lovely stay
We enjoyed staying at this property very much. We were able to visit the D-Day beaches, Caen and Bayeux. Damien was easy to communicate with and helpful. There was ample space for a group of 4 friends. Laundry facilities were very helpful. The grocery store was very close buy. It was an all round good experience.

Great spot
Had a great 2 days at the property as we toured the close y WWII memorials, beaches and museums. Great communication with owner as questions arose during our stay. Property was very clean and well appointed. Would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring the area.

La Rose des Vents, a wonderful place for a holiday
Lovely gite, one of three in the property. Clean and comfortable and so nice for my son and daughter to have their own en-suites whilst we used the main family bathroom next to our room on the ground floor. Very nice garden, with each gite having its own patio dining area. My only very minor criticism is that there is one laundry room to serve all 3 gites and it only has one washing machine and one tumble drier which, as I discovered, could be problematic if more than one gite need to do some washing at the same time. Otherwise we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely choose to stay at La Rose des Vents (The Wind Rose) again.

Beautiful home and location!
We loved our stay and enjoyed using the outdoor grill and backyard. We walked to the port and grocery store and were a short drive to all the major WWII sites. The space was perfect for our multigenerational family of 4 adults and three kids. Checkin and check out were easy as could be. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Gite in Great Location
We had a lovely long weekend staying at this apartment while visiting some D-Day sights. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and in the photos. The kitchen was well stocked, including oils and other pantry staples, in addition to dishwasher tabs, kitchen paper, and bathroom paper. The check in was easy, and they were able to accomodate our late arrival. Thanks again for a great stay!

Beautiful house
This apartment is part of a larger house and it was the perfect place for our family! We were there with my parents and our four children and everyone was comfortable and had the space needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and there is a grocery store nearby. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. The apartment is very cute and recently updated as well. I will stay here again if we are able to return to Normandy!

Perfect!
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing time. . The gite was spotless, quiet and modern. The village was lovely and we went to the daily fish market and some restaurants. We grilled on the outdoor bbq. If you are interested in WWII sites, the Maisy Battery is a 5 minute drive and so interesting and authentic, one of the best sites we visited. Merci!

A very well presented house with all amenities. The garden was lovely and the area peaceful and quiet. Because the weather was bad we were able to sit comfortably inside in the evenings. We all loved the town of Grand Camp Maisy. Would stay with Damien again. Thank you.

Excellent location in Normandy
Damien's property was wonderful. The location is perfect for seeing all the D-Day and WWII sights. This property is very tastefully updated and decorated. My husband and I stayed mostly on the lower floor but the bed and shower were both excellent. The steps to the upper level might be a little steep for small children but we did not have any difficulty at all. The outdoor space was very welcoming with a garden shared only with the other renters in the unit next door. The neighboring units appeared to be rented during our whole stay but we never felt as though our privacy was in jeopardy. The washer and dryer were easily accessible and easy to use with a little assistance from Google Translate. WiFi worked well enough to stream Netflix. We would definitely recommend this property.

Comfortable, quiet and great location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is well-located for easy access to D-day sights and area highlights like Bayeux and Mont St Michel. The property is well-maintained and comfortable. We had no issues and would return. We appreciated the quick responses to all emails sent. A tip for tall guests (more than 6 feet tall), the slanted ceilings/roof in the upstairs rooms (attic style) require you to be aware of your surroundings. The stairs are a little steep, so the upstairs bedrooms are not ideal for older guests.

Fantastic stay in Normandy!
Our family of six had a fantastic stay. Each room has a dedicated shower and two of the rooms share a toilet. Plenty of room for our group. This is a perfect place for multiple families - my sister and her family stayed in the unit next door with her three young children. So the cousins played in the backyard together in the evenings and mornings. Perfectly clean and well designed and maintained. The next time we are in Normandy, we would stay here again!

Well presented, well located property
We were met on site by the proprietor, Damien. Send him an email when you are 30 mins out and he meets you on site. His english is good and he explains everything and tells you the WIFI code etc. The property has been modernised and is well presented, with 3 x bedrooms (two upstairs and one down), two showers (one en-suite) and a en-suite bath.. It has a quiet garden with loungers, table and chairs and barbecue facilities. It is well located for the sites/museums in the American sector. Mont St Michel was 90 minutes away. St Mere Eglise, 30 mins. A local Carrefour mini-market is a couple of minutes away and the local harbour not much further. A very nice place to stay with a friendly greeting on arrival. What more can you want.

Lovely accomodations
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the wind rose. Damien met us and answered all questions. Grandcamp Maisy is a quiet town and can be walked to from the house. The house is very large and was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the three bedrooms and showers as we are a family of five with growing teens. Would recommend this place to all.
