Hard to find in the dark - but worth the search!
I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles! I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ā€˜equestrian centreā€™ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!). I rang the owner again and found their farm yard nearly getting stuck in the mud! I rang again and kind gentleman at the farm directed me to the house. By this time I was a bit stressed (late and had a long journey)but soon as I entered the house and was shown to my room, all this melted away! The room was lovely and bed was super comfy. The house was so quiet so had a great nights sleep, mind you I was the only one staying there. The morning greeted me with a picture perfect view out the window, as you can see from the photo. The owner greeted me with a lovely breakfast cooked to perfection. I normally stay in premier inns when on business, mainly due to the ease of finding them when having travelled along way during the night. This place though is definitely one I will come back to if working in the area (now I know how to find it!). As me and the wife love walking the hills in the lakes, this place will also be high our list to stay at. Beautiful house, location, breakfast and lovely hosts.

Extremely peaceful, beautiful walks and Iā€™m no stranger as I stayed previously. It is unique as many years ago it was a fully functional farm spanning back to days I attended the excellent school adjacent and therefore, it always feels great to stay there back in my old stomping ground in a nutshell. I most certainly look forward to staying there again in the not too distant future. Iā€™d like to add, there is a nice guy who gave me a lift to the bus stop at the bottom of the village, I offered him something for his fuel, but the kind guy didnā€™t take it so thanks all the same for his hospitality.

Disappointing
In the middle of nowhere and rooms, although clean with comfortable beds are the most basic - absolutely no amenities. It is a 15 minute drive to the nearest town and there is no restaurant - only breakfast (which was very good) no tea/coffee in the rooms only in the lounge/dining area and once cups are used there are no clean ones. Honestly Hotels.com need to be more clear in their description. Very expensive for what you get!

A caring B&B
This B&B is managed by a couple who take a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their guests. The accommodation is spotless and everything required is there.
