Our family needed a decently sized home for a short stay. I found this property listed under a new listing, allowing for a price that worked for our entire family. The home was well furnished with four bedrooms (1 master w/en suite bath, 2 BR w/full or queen beds, and 1 BR w/2 twin beds). Plenty of bed space for our family. The home also has two full baths, and laundry room, kitchen, and family room space. There were two nice, covered decks on the front and back of the home.
The outside has views of rolling farmland, with a bunch of friendly goats that live in the next yard. There are several chickens that live on the property. The rooster do crow in the morning (and sometimes during other times of the evening). They pretty much roam the property and are fairly judgey and are curious. Most of them sleep lined up on the deck gates of the front deck, while a couple sleep on the stairs leading to the back deck gate. Piece of advice-if you are returning to the property at night make sure you leave the back door unlocked-the front chickens do not like it when you interrupt their sleep and it is much easier to go in through the back door :) We also had three young cows that somehow got into the fenced yard-I'm told this is not normal, but they were very chill and basically relaxed and ate some grass while staring at us. It is a working farm area so we were not surprised or put off by our unexpected guests.
Overall positives:
-Large space
-Great communication with homeowner
-Fully furnished
-Quiet area
-Easy check-in and out process
-Brita water purifier on kitchen sink
-Free wi-fi
-Access to a smart tv (user log ins required)
-Washer/dryer included
Things to take into consideration:
-Live animals on property so gate needs to be secured at all times
-Gravel roadway leads to property
-Not a lot of towels for guest use
-No local television programs/access
Overall I would recommend this host for those looking for a nice, quiet place. It is a farm in a fairly isolated area, great for relaxing and getting away from everything.
