For our 20th anniversary since getting together, my husband and I decided to splash out on a holiday with our two daughters. The cottage was ideally located close to Panzano, where it was easy to park to go shopping at the market on Sunday and to eat out in the evening. The beds were comfortable, excellent showers, esp. the one by the downstairs bedroom. Well-stocked kitchen with a good range of cutlery and various items from olive oil to washing up liquid. The living room was a lovely place to relax in the evening, drink wine and watch the twinkling lights of Tuscany as our girls slept. The pool was clean and wide, and was cleaned during our week’s stay. The only negative is that the stone is a bit rough underfoot and alongside so you may wish to wear swimming shoes.
The views from the cottage and the pool are breathtaking, overlooking the estate where the 1993 film Much Ado About Nothing was made.
Lucrezia was an excellent host. Our eldest has autism and she was very kind and quick with small requests or questions about where to eat and visit.
I am frankly at a loss to explain the previous review which did concern me before our stay. There was no dog, but a cat and some kittens and Lucrezia never disturbed us. There is a farm dog that tends the local goats but he never disturbed us and everything is well gated off. Advise using Google Maps using the last street Lucrezia mentions in her directions, not the Vrbo address.
We will be back one day!
