Overall great stay in the heart of Chianti region
My husband and I and our young adult daughter stayed in Villa Clotilde, Strada in Chianti in early May of 2024.Communication with the host Francesco was great from the start.The home is beautiful, spacious and very clean. It is a qiet getaway in the heart of the Chianti wine region.The Villa is a great vacation home with great views of a valley, in a mountain range. The home is less convenient for transient traveler's as you have to bring everything. None of the essentials are provided such as soap, dish soap, dish cloths, garbage bags, toilet paper, salt, pepper, cooking oils. Linen and towels are not included; they are provided for an extra 15 Euros per person. The grill is available if you bring tour own charcoal. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the property. We appreciated the pool, the hot tub after long Days off walking

Great Place!
Francesco was fantastic! He was very helpful, friendly and willing to answer any questions/requests we had. He came every day to clean the pool, check the jacuzzi and see if we needed anything. We asked him for a recommendation for a cooking class. We found out Francesco was a restaurant owner. and he offered a personal class, at the property, just for us! It was WONDERFUL! We made two types of pasta/sauces AND dessert. We learned a lot, very hands-on and so much fun! Even for those of us who didn't want to learn joined in and had a good time. He brought everything needed, was an excellent teacher and did all the cleaning up of our mess. We had enough leftovers for the next day, too! Don't miss out on this. I would highly recommend this place. The view is absolutely incredible also! If we are lucky enough to come back to Italy, we will definitely stay here!

Beautiful Tuscany Vacation
I stayed a week with family here and the views are are absolutely gorgeous . The villa is on one acre right in Strada in Chianti . It’s very quiet and relaxing and close to everything we needed. Francesco is an amazing host and was so friendly and helpful for anything we needed treating us like family . He is also a wonderful Chef and we hired him to cook us this delicious Italian meal one night . He is attentive and responsive at all times. The property was very clean and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very safe here.

Ideal Tuscany location
A gorgeous property that deserves a better photo in the VRBO listing. On a gentle hillside with excellent privacy and a long view, overlooking olive tree orchards and vineyards. The house is spacious and, like the pool, hot tub and grounds, is immaculately maintained. A short walk into a small village, and a perfect location for day trips to all locations in Tuscany.

A real Villa with a view....and the pool is wow!
Great quiet villa!. Every thing you need is there. We enjoyes cooking our meals ans the pool as it was warm/hot outside ( 26 to 31C). And Francesco! What a host. He lives close by so if you need anything he will be there in minutes. We will defenitely refer our friends to that great villa!!

Lovely Chianti holiday
We had a lovely stay in this very nice villa in May 2019. The villa is clean, well equipped and was quite spacious enough for the four of us. The outdoor pool is nice and clean, with absolutely beautiful views out over the olive trees and vineyards. And in the evening you can see fireflies! Good location for visiting Florence, Siena and the Chianti region. It's at the edge of a small town, Strada, which has a small supermarket etc. We had a great holiday here.

Wunderschönes Haus mit Pool im Herzen des Chianti Classico
Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Francesco begrüßt mit Eiern von seinen Hühnern und selbstgemachter Marmelade von seiner Frau. Das Haus liegt mitten im Chianti Classico und hat einen atemberaubenden Blick in die toskanische Landschaft. Florenz, Siena und selbst Lucca sind schnell erreichbar. Der Pool und die große Sonnenterrasse sind ein Traum und wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen! Francesco kommt jeden Morgen und bringt den Pool in Ordnung und versorgt seine Hühner, von denen wir die leckeren Eier bekommen haben. Er hat uns sogar eine wunderbare Lasagne gemacht, nur weil der Jacuzzi defekt war, er war ausgesprochen freundlich und bemüht, dass es uns gut geht. Vielen lieben Dank Francesco für alles! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es hat einfach an nichts gefehlt, Traumhaftes Wetter, tolle Unterkunft, tolle Landschaft mit wunderschöner Umgebung. Francesco war ein toller Gastgeber der uns mit seinen Tips eine große Hilfe war. we hadden een aangenaam verblijf met een prachtig panorama , zwembad en jacuzzi de gastheer was heel behulpzaam en inschikkelijk ( gebruik van de tweede badkamer ) echter , in en om de villa was nog wel een en ander aan vernieuwing toe aan het terras was een omheining voorzien die echter niet veilig was buitenmeubilair ( ligzetels en stoelen ) zijn dringend aan vernieuwing toe alsook de matrassen in de slaapkamer

Erholsamer Toscana Urlaub
Älteres, in absolut ruhiger Lage gelegenes und sauberes Haus mit Pool für 6-8 Personen. Hund ist erlaubt, war für uns Grundvoraussetzung. Da nur 4 Liegen vorhanden waren, wären 2 Liegen mehr, bei 35 Grad sehr wünschenswert, da man dann nur am Pool sich aufhält. Sonnst ist alles vorhanden. Francesco ist ein sehr netter Vermieter, der sich um alles kümmert, incl. der Reinigung des Pools.

Wir verbrachten eine wunderschöne Woche in Casa Glotilde. Das Ferienhaus ist bestens ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Dazu ist die Lage perfekt für Ausflugziele. Siena, San Gimignano und viele weitere sehenswerte Städte sind in einer Stunde zu erreichen. Francesco ist ein sehr aufmerksamer und toller Gastgeber, er hatte für uns viele Tipps egal ob Ausflugsziele oder einfach ein Supermarkt. Auch konnten wir ihn jederzeit kontaktieren wenn wir Hilfe benötigt haben. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Idyllisches Fleckchen Erde
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub, in einem echt tollen Ferienhaus - indem es an nichts fehlt! Super zum entspannten und relaxen, mit einem unbeschreiblichem Panorama! Das Ferienhaus ist ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Francessco ist ein toller Gastgeber, der immer für uns da war. Darüber hinaus haben wir von ihm viele gute Tipps erhalten, was man in und um Strada erleben kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Ferienhaus zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Ein tolles Haus von einem herzlichen Vermieter
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in der Toskana und wie beim ersten Mal waren wir von der toskanischen Gastfreundschaft begeistert. Aber Francesco war einfach noch einmal besser. Egal, was wir hatten. Er war sofort da, hat jedes noch so kleine Problem (Bsp. Wespennest) sofort erledigt. Hinzu kam regelmäßige Versorgung mit selbstgemachter Marmelade, frischen Eiern, Oliven, Wein, usw. - sein ganzes Tun war auf unsere Zufriedenheit gerichtet. Dann gab es noch Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants, die alle erstklassig waren. Francesco ist also insbesondere auch für Toskana Neulinge eine gute Adresse. Und das Objekt ist wirklich toll. Super Lage in den Hügeln des Chiantis mit einem tollen Blick, toller Pool und ein sehr geräumiges Haus, in dem es an eigentlich nichts fehlte. Strada ist ein idyllischer Ort und eine tolles Basis für Ausflüge in die gesamte Toskana. Auch gibt es dort einen kleinen Supermarkt, einen tollen Bäcker und eben auch tolle Restaurants. Einziger kleiner Nachteil des Hauses ist eine fehlende Klimaanlage, aber das wird ausgeglichen durch eine gute Belüftungsmöglichkeiten des Objekts. In den Hügeln geht immer guter Wind, zudem liegt eines der Schlafzimmer im Keller und ist somit deutlich kühler. Der Urlaub in Strada war eines unserer absoluten Highlights, auch unsere beiden erwachsenen Kinder hatten eine tolle Zeit und sind unter diesen phantastischen Bedingungen gerne mit uns gefahren. Kleine Wellness-Oase in toller Lage
Dank des herrlichen Wetters konnten wir uns abends immer im Freien aufhalten, so dass wir das perfekte Ferienhaus hatten. Im Haus wäre es auf der kleinen Couch eng geworden. Ansonsten war das Ferienhaus hervorragend. Die Schlafzimmer sind geräumig, die Küche großzügig, gut mit Geschirr und Besteck ausgestattet und vor allem - der Herd, Geschirrspüler und die anderen Geräte sind top in Schuss. Das Bad war mit Dusche und Toilette groß genug. Das Wasser kam im ganzen Haus mit ordentlichem Druck und mit der gewünschten Temperatur. Die gesamte Installation im Anwesen war durchdacht. Und nun zum Highlight, dem Pool und dem Whirlpool. Die Bilder im Inserat täuschen nicht. Der Jacuzzi ist schön groß. Er hat einen großen und zwei kleinere Sitzgelegenheiten und zwei große Liegen. Wir, drei groß gewachsene Erwachsene hatten perfekt Platz. Der Pool war so groß und tief, dass man sich auch sportlich betätigen konnte. An der Sauberkeit im Haus und der Außenanlage ist nichts zu mäkeln. Im Haus gab es, auch dank der vollständigen Fliegengitter, keine unerwünschten Haustiere. Die Lage vom Ferienhaus ist gut. Strada selbst hat ein paar Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Greve und Imprunata sind in ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Die Highlights der Toskana sind alle in guter Reichweite. Francesco hat uns herzlich Empfangen. Er war nur etwas echauffiert, weil er nicht wusste, dass wir mit unserem Hund, reisen, weil Whippet mit una frustata - Peitsche- übersetzt wurde.

Fantastisch verblijf bij fantastische gastheer!
Ongelofelijke vakantie in een prachtig huis! De advertentie geeft de pracht van het huis en de omgeving niet goed weer, heel mooi en rustig gelegen huis met veel ruimte. Francesco is een fantastische gastheer: altijd in de buurt maar nooit te zien. Het zwembad en de jaccuzi worden elke morgen gepoetst nog voor je wakker wordt! Bij elke vraag krijg je onmiddellijk antwoord en direct hulp. Alle grote steden zijn makkelijk bereikbaar en toch verblijf je in een eindeloze rust met een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. Zorgeloze vakantie die we absoluut terug willen doen!

What a beautiful location
We were three couples who rented the house for a week's stay. All of us were really happy with our vacation. The house is so beautifully located. We enjoyed the wiew (even better than in the photoes) the pool, the bubble bath, the grill, the garden, everything! Francesco is a really good host and we would love to come back!
