This booking is a scam. This is an abandoned building that used to be a hotel. There is a sign on the door reading the place is closed for renovations, but it looks like its been there a long time and the building isn't in the best condition.

This is very basic accommodation and a trip back in time. It’s in need of a facelift for sure

Terrible

Posted 29 Sep. 2017 on Expedia
Check in took forever. Room was deplorable. Bathroom was dirty. Looked as though it was renovated by toddlers in the mid 90's. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Ancient TV had 13 fuzzy channels. Overall it was a terrible experience.

Conveniently located at start of McKenzie highway

Posted 9 Jul. 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Historic colour of the situation
Cons: The whole place needs upgrading. Everything is decrepit.
Location: Beginning of McKenzie highway - history of Alberta
Disappointed to see the place so run down. I know it's a historic place, but the maintenance is poor. There was not enough toilet paper. Could use a lot of paint and renovation. Cracked cement. It was what one might call "basic" in every respect.

Pros: Location, price and people are great.
Cons: You could always improve things in any hotel but it just fine, clean and great people.
Location: Grimshaw is nice, lots of history. Great place.
