The room was very clean and comfortable. I was expecting it to look old and musty but it was not like that at all. The bathroom, although small, was very clean. The view from the room was spectacular. It overlooked the mountains. The hotel had free parking and was in the town center. Perhaps the breakfast spread could have been better but it was sufficient for our needs.

Grindelwald stay
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from downtown and train station. It should be noted that there is a steep hill leading up to the hotel so it might be difficult for someone with physical limitations. The views from our balcony were breathtaking!!!! The restaurant staff was very friendly and the dinner was excellent! The housekeeping was average- the daily cleaning was not the best. The front desk staff was not always very accommodating when we had questions or needs.

We loved this hotel and would’ve stayed longer if it had had availability. Room was perfect for a small family with clean bathroom, fridge and comfy beds but the highlight was our own balcony with a view of the Eiger. We spent hours there in the late afternoon just staring at the mountain. The hotel is up the hill a bit from the main action in Grindelwald but it’s completely walkable (even with a 7 year old). And very very quiet. Parking on site.

It was our best experience. It’s very close to train station and Main Street. Though the hotel is on a hill and if you have luggage or elderly with walking issues then not a good idea ,for us that was not an issue. They do send car for pickup. But other than that everything else was awesome, beautiful room, great view from our balcony, kind helpful staff, decent breakfast. We would surely come again

Short walk to the ski lift, train station and village center. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options to fill up on before a day on the slopes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The patio was nice and filled with sunlight when I ended one of my ski days a bit early to relax and sip the wine which I received as an Expedia VIP. As a solo traveler, I like the option of booking a smaller room with a smaller bed at a good price point.

Hotel is near at the train station but the hotel is by the hill. Van service is available for free from and to train station to and from hotel. Call receptionist to inform ahead of time. Staffs are friendly, room is clean, and breakfast is good. The bathroom is clean but smells like urine. Maybe the mop’s head needs to be changed.
