The room has a fantastic view of eiger. Was blown away by how clean the apartment was. Incredibly clean. Ursula and Peter were very accommodating and even offered to give us a lift to a local restaurant for dinner on our first day. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful stay
The view is amazing. The walk around the area is so scenic and pleasant. Peter and Ursula are helpful, attentive, responsive. The welcome basket is really a nice touch and give you the taste of local products. We had a really good time and highly recommend this unit. Ursula and Peter are amazing and very helpful hosts .They left us some delicious bread and snacks Also offered milk as the stores were closed. They helped us with luggage too . The views from balcony are very beautiful we could just and relax all day.It is very clean and cozy place . The bus stop was very close by and we had no problem with connections to the trains. Highly recommend the place

Super clean cozy apartment with a fantastic view
This was one of our favorite places to stay in Europe. The apartment is on the top floor of a chalet with a spectacular view of the mountains. The balcony is set up with a small table and chairs so you can have drinks or dinner while watching the sunset. One of the paraglider landing zones is immediately in front of the chalet so all day you have a view of wings landing directly in front of you It’s a fantastic choice for a couple that doesn’t mind a little exercise, walking down or up from the village. While we were there, buses (#122) run twice an hour and drop off quite close to the apartment until 6:44 in the evening so if you were going to have dinner in the village, you’re probably going to walk back up. Ursula and Peter were wonderful hosts, and the apartment was incredibly clean. They supplied some welcoming gifts, which were very thoughtful. We would love to stay here when we come to Grindelwald again

Perfect!
We loved the gorgeous surroundings of this home. Every direction is complete with lovely views, and the convenient location to town is great. As others have warned, if you miss the last bus of the evening, you’ll have a very uphill climb back home. We did it twice and I suppose you could get used to it! Host and hostess were great, and accommodations perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy villa. Was great for family of 4. Hosts were very helpful with information about local area and travel suggestions. Would definitely stay here again. View from porch is spectacular. Walk to town easy. A good cardio workout going back up but not hard.

Excellent accomodation with a stunning view
My family and I recently stayed at Ursula’s property in Grindelwald. Firstly, the view from the property and the location were just perfect and exceeded our expectations. The view is from an elevated position with breathtaking views of the mountains and everyday we enjoyed watching the paragliders sail in and land in a field below. The property is located in a peaceful area if Grindelwald and is a short walk down hill to the town and a steep walk back up. There is a bus that comes past every hour that can be caught from the town back to a stop near the property as well. Ursula was a fabulous host and ensured that we had everything we needed and even provided us with a welcome gift basket of local food and wine which was just lovely. The property was spotless and was fully equipped with everything we needed. If you are considering a stay in Grindelwald, I would highly recommend Ursula’s place.

Beautiful Location
It is located with wonderful views and just a few mins from the Grindelwald center. The place itself is cute and has wonderful views from the living room of the eiger mountian and also can see the para gliding landing right in front of us. Over all a wonderful experience. The bath tub though is not comfortable for someone tall.

Fantastic views for a family adventure
We would love to come back and stay again ! Well appointed apartment with spectacular views. Kind hosts. Removed from the busy touristy main street a great place to stay. One word of caution about a Grindelwald bus service to the home. If you stay out too late, you won’t miss the last bus and have to walk to the home or take a taxi which can be pricey.. The town has a grocery store, which is a wise place to buy food rather than eat at restaurants as food in the restaurants it’s very expensive. The apartment has a well appointed kitchen to make your meals.

We loved staying here! The views from the windows and deck are breathtaking! Ursula and Peter were accommodating to us and friendly. They left us a bottle of wine with cheese and bread which we thought was nice. I recommend this place and would love to come back.

Beautiful home, views, and close to town
We loved the second floor (3rd floor US) apartment. It had even we needed and Ursula and Peter left us lovely bread, cheese, sausages, and chocolate bars. When we arrived in Grindelwald at 7pm, the last bus had already left and Ursula was kind enough to pick us up in her car. You can walk down the hill to town, but up is quite steep. From the terrace, the view of the mountains above is stunning. All around great place. We were sorry to say goodbye.

Heaven on earth
Ursula and Peter's cozy chalet felt like paradise. Rental is on the top floor and the views from the balcony are to die for. It had everything from a fully equipped kitchen (including olive oil, rice cooker, paper towels) to furniture on the balcony to enjoy the views of Eiger and the gondolas while sipping tea/ wine. The trail right opposite to the chalet takes you down into Grindelwald town in mere 10 mins. (we were not brave enough to hike uphill - always took bus # 122 which stops right across the property). However, if you want to hike down to the train station then take the trail that starts next to Hotel Bodmi, which is just a 100 feet away from the chalet. That hike is also 10- 15 mins downhill and you avoid walking another 10 mins. thru' the town to reach the train station! Word of caution - if you want to not walk uphill to reach the property be back before 6pm as the last bus leaves from train station around 6:40 pm and there is no Uber or taxi service there! Coop is right next to the train station, so buy your groceries and enjoy your stay. We can't wait to be back already.

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Grindelwald. Ursula and Peter are wonderful hosts and available to answer questions or provide information. Very clean and well located. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had vacationed in the Berner Oberland two times before -- both great trips -- but we wish we had found Ursula and Peter's place before. We will return, hopefully many times.

This was an incredible place to stay. The views are gorgeous and the property owners (Ursula and Peter) are wonderful. Since it is quite a ways up the mountain, I would recommend having a car if you're going to stay here--or you could always just take the bus.

Perfect location for first trip to Switzerland
Everything about this property was excellent. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. Don’t let the simplicity of the apartment fool you. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Great shower. Walking path to town is scenic and an easy walk to town. The bus picks up and drops off right across the street. The perfect Swiss experience. Thanks to Ursula and Peter for making sure we had everything we needed.
