Beautiful location with an iconic view. The kitchen was well stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be investing in new linens and pillows.

It feels like a pretty old guesthouse. Stairs are kind of steep and the carpets are thin so really do watch your steps. The view is absolutely breathtaking. You see the Kirkjufell Mountain right outside (at least at the room I'm in). About a 3 min drive from the closest city, so it's actually pretty quiet and peaceful. Two beautiful waterfalls nearby (walkable). Two shower rooms at the bottom floor which was a little bit inconvenient. You can also kind of hear noises in the other rooms such as snoring if you're sensitive to that. Other than those, not a bad place to stay at for a pit stop. I would come back here again.

Grund guesthouse room 6 is incredible. Magical views with contemporary furnishings and an amazing shower make this a must stay. So wonderful. Thank you.

Beautiful view from our room however the curtains were open prior to our arrival. This wouldn’t have mattered at all except since it was a super sunny day the room felt like an oven for a few hours. Once the curtains were drawn and the side window was opened it’s took about 3-4 hours for the room to cool down. Not a big deal but just a heads up if you stay in room 11. Other than that the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.

We stayed here one night in June. It was comfortable, but a little cramped for four of us. It also isn’t really walkable from town, but this worked fine for us. It was easy to drive to Kirkjufell and take amazing pictures!

The accommodation has a shared kitchen, which is shared among all the rooms, we did not have to wait to use the kitchen. We have a private bathroom in our room. The condition is good, but it requires some effort to close the door of the bathroom… There is a reception at the property, which is near the entrance and the communal kitchen. As the space there is not that big, 3 staff in the small area gives the guests some feeling of being monitored…

The Apartments were spacious and clean and had just enough items in the kitchenette to allow us to make dinner and breakfast. It offers a wonderful view, a friendly host/manager, and horses near by. We were able to check in late our hour a problem. We called ahead and they said not to worry.

Our room is very clean. The common area is well-appointed and with all the appliances we could use. Unfortunately, during our stay, there were two guests constantly chatting loudly in the common area for a long time (~ 2 hours). These two ladies not only woke us up in the early morning, but also made us breakfast less enjoyable. One of the ladies even started her own compost bin and asked us to follow her rule. It's very strange. A suggestion to the hotel owner is to put up a sign to respect social etiquette in common area. That will help prevent this mishap from happening again and make the stay better for everyone.
