The rooms were clean and while the rooms appeared to be dated to american standards, it was a bit nicer than i expected. The included breakfast and floor 9 snacks were great. I did have a funny experience in the elevator. The elevator malfunctioned shaking significantly while dropping and then came to a jolting stop. I panicked and called for help on the emergency phone. Support staff came and let me out within a few minutes. Someone called and checked on me and then they said they were sending up a gift (which i didnt ask for). This was at 10pm. Thirty minutes later a woman knocked on the door with a few pieces of fruit and an apology card which she read outloud the best she could in her limited english. A for effort i guess! Haha I also had to constantly come down to the front desk for issues realted to my card not working either for my room or to activate the lights. I saw at least one Overall dont expect american level customer service, but most people i dealt with were pleasant. I think for guatamala standards, this hotel is pretty nice.

This has been my go to hotel in Guatemala City but I was very disappointed this time by their reduced shuttle service. In the past they were always very good about getting guests back and forth to the nearby airport. We also were surprised by how expensive their food service has become.

It is always a safe place with security in place. Was not happy with cleaning service b/c they reported that i broke coffee pot in room. The charge for the pot was withdrawn after housekeeping manager came up to look, the pot had overflowed and i se towel to clean up. No face cloths in rooms. Had to get a/c fixed also. Everyone was kind
