Summary:
Welcome to Back Station Creek Retreat! The ideal Gundagai accommodation is located 5 mins from town. A peaceful farmland with rolling hills, stunning sunrises and sunset views, and a mix of cows in one paddock, and sheep in the other. Wildlife abounds, including echidnas and an abundance of birds such as parrots, Rosella's cockatoos, and owls. A pet horse named "Gena" and her best friend "Beth," the sheep who loves to be patted, with a dog yard adjacent to the tiny house.
The Space:
Back Station Creek Retreat is located in the small town of Gundagai, Australia. Located on the topside paddock, with a vacant paddock on one side and your land host's house on the other, screened with trees for privacy. While the back of the tiny house overlooks 4 acres of trees, a dam, and stunning hill views of the surrounding area.
Only an hour's drive from Canberra, you can find the ideal Gundagai accommodation of around 139 square feet near the Big Koala, Carberry Park, and Monty's Diner. Complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for your use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that our parking space is about 20 metres from the tiny home. During the summer, if it's not too wet, you are welcome to drive in and park right in front or next to the tiny home it is a big open flat paddock. You may contact your land host before arrival if have any questions or concerns.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house, except the land host's private residence, house yard, garage, and neighbouring properties. Please note that there is limited mobile coverage for Vodafone, 2degree, and Spark; except for Optus and Telstra.
Enjoy a fire pit to keep you warm, or have a BBQ cookout. If you are interested, please contact your land host 24 hrs before arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Back Station Creek Retreat sits in the small town of Gundagai, Australia. Only a 3 min drive from the Murrumbidgee River, which has great fishing spots, and other attractions such as museums, cafes, historic pubs, parks, and old train stations.
Gundagai roughly halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, making it an easy drive to and from the tiny house. And one of the best farm stay NSW getaways in the area.

- The famous dog on the Tuckerbox is 5 miles from Gundagai.
- Lott’s Family Hotel Pub is a great place for meet-ups with the best food and drinks in town.
- Gundagai Rotary Lookout offers stunning panoramic views of the local area and can be reached via Mount and Luke Streets.
- Monty's Diner is a popular diner known for its toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, chicken schnitzel, fresh salad, and other dishes.
- Carberry Park is a park next to the tourist information center with lovely leafy shade, outdoor space for children, and public restrooms.
– Niagara Café and Old-style Greek café which have recently been restored offer delicious breakfast and lunch menu options available.

By car:

- 2 hr drive from Canberra
- 5 hr drive from Melbourne
All nearby town and cities are reachable by private vehicle/car including 4wd, and a bike to nearby towns.
By public transport:
- Bus from Melbourne and Sydney are available. Then, ride a taxi to the property.
Other Things to Note:
- No smoking allowed on the property
- Breakfast is available for an extra cost
- Parking is provided at front of the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Keep in mind that we have a pet horse and sheep
- Remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We also offer a picnic package, provided with grazing platters, picnic rugs, cushions, and a private location with a view

- Given the rural setting due to snakes in the area, dam & unfence livestock, children are welcome under close adult supervision; safety guidelines will be sent prior to booking.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
