gorgeous modern cabin on private ranch

Pet friendly and ask us about private flyfishing on the ranch as well! Built in 2006 and just remodeled with new appliances and paint, this charming cabin on a private cattle and horse ranch is surrounded by fragrant sagebrush and chokecherry bushes and offers views, privacy, and peace. There is a large fenced yard, a private patio with new furniture including cushions, a new gas BBQ grill, and a chimenea with firewood provided. Inside, you have a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a full bathroom that includes a new washer and dryer. In the living room, you will find a new pull out queen sized couch, a recliner, a TV, and a woodburning stove. there is a dining table for 4 and an eating bar with two stools as well. The porch offers evening sun, while the patio has morning sun- a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! We have plenty of parking, so if you are bringing a boat, your snowmobile trailer, or your side by sides, you will have no problem parking and turning around. This is the only cabin on our ranch other than our private home, which is barely visible from the porch of the cabin due to large bushes and trees. You are less than 15 minutes from downtown Gunnison and Gunnison Regional Airport, and about 40 minutes from Mt. Crested Butte. You can also drive East on Highway 50 and be at Monarch Mountain Ski Resort in 35 minutes. Blue Mesa Lake is less than 30 minutes away. Our gate is located between mile markers 167 and mile marker 168 on US HWY 50. Google map may be slightly off, so look for the gate between those mile markers. We have added photos of our gate and wagon wheel mail box to help you recognize us.

Great Experience!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Brad and Michelle will make you feel right at home. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Vegetation screens the cabin from the main house and gives plenty of privacy. Our dog really enjoyed the grass, fenced yard. The property itself is awesome, I enjoyed excellent fishing in the creek during our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in area.

This cabin is as perfect as it gets. EVERYTHING you need for convenience is there. It is on a working ranch which was perfect for us. We loved this place
If you are looking for secluded beauty this is the place. Great little house, well equipped with nice linens, nice dish ware and cookware, updated appliances, everything you could need. We loved it. Clean, beautiful location, great hosts. The fenced yard was a huge bonus. Nice grass for our pup and super sturdy fence. Was just a great experience, highly recommend. We felt welcomed. Will be back.

Ideal secluded getaway
It is the perfect location to make our day trips out to explore the Gunnison/Crested Butte areas. Hosts were welcoming and spent an evening with them under the stars, fire going, listening to the cows in the distance. As a photographer the night sky was incredible, just what I wanted for astrophotography. The cabin was well equipped for our needs, and we grilled every night of our stay. Charming, comfortable cabin. If you love seclusion, a quiet, private setting, this is the place.

Amazing little cabin!
I stayed here a couple of nights to get out of the city and away from fireworks and it was so worth it. It's nice and quiet and peaceful. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the property is beautiful. Our hosts were very responsive and friendly and welcoming. If you're thinking about staying here, you won't regret. Truly paradise
No words can accurately express the exceptional stay we enjoyed. Brad and Michele Phelps are fantastic hosts! They have thought of everything a guest might need. The setting alone will make you never want to leave. The location for our hiking plans was perfect as we could access Gunnison area and Crested Butte. This property not only provides a sweet cabin but pastures of horses on a pristine ranch expanse. We enjoyed feeding the horses with Brad and Michele one evening. We already can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much Brad and Michele! Oh, and a huge shout to Brad, THE MAN, who helped change a flat tire on our truck the day we left! Amazing!

Comfy cabin at the Ranch
Joyful, comfortable, and peaceful are just 3 of the great adjectives that describe our holiday at the ranch. The cabin was like coming home with all the amenities. Not far from town, easy to find, and a dark sky for stargazing. The lovely terrace with a grill and plenty of seating for outside enjoyment only added to the ambiance of the property. The decor and attention to detail was perfect. My dog loved the fenced area too! We definitely want to stay here again. Thanks Brad and Michelle for being such amiable hosts. Perfect Place
Our stay was awesome! Cabin had every thing you need and more. Property owners were responsive and the most friendly people! They were kind enough to invite us into their home one evening to talk hunting and life in general. The property is gorgeous! Every morning we woke up to elk up on the hill side while we were enjoying our coffee on the porch. If you are needing a getaway do not hesitate to book this place. Weekend Getaway
My dog and I got permission from the wife to head to the mountains for a quiet weekend. One of my favorite things was the wood burning stove. Just sitting and reading was my main plan and I can’t think of a better place for it. I ended sleeping on the couch in the living room just to listen to it crackling while I fell asleep. We hiked the property, but the weather kept us inside so there is plenty more to explore next time. Easy drive to Crested Butte for an afternoon skiing session, lots of new snow from the day before. The cabin is in great shape, I had everything I needed. I can’t wait to bring my wife next time!
