Do not stay at this hotel! The room we got for 3 people was very small. The third bed was an armchair convertable. There was no room to open it. The rooms had no airconditioner. It was horrible.

The location was perfect as we could easily walk from the train station. The view from our room was gorgeous. Rooms was clean and spacious. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great.

This is an elegant, period building, the rooms are large and spacious. We had room 308 on the front of the hotel which gave us a balcony with a Mountain View. Because it is an old building, it does not have aircon. It was hot while we were there, but we were able to sleep with the windows open and the fan on; there is a road at the front of the hotel, but iit is very quiet and nothing happens after 10.30! We had B@B but lunch and evening meals are available. The breakfast buffet is excellent - including sparkling wine!The hotel staff are very helpful and everyone speaks excellent English. The housekeeping is excellent. We stayed for 7 nights; the sheets and robes were changed three times while we were there. The mini-bar contents are included in the cost and are replenished every day - I enjoyed the half bottle of Prosecco every evening after a day in the mountains. The hotel is 5 minutes walking from Interlaken Ost train station and boat station so getting around is very easy. I would recommend getting the Swiss Trail Pass as it gives free travel on trains, boats and buses, and discounts on some of the mountain routes.

Great hotel so close to station and Harder Kulm. Great shopping/restaurants nearby and outstanding staff. Taking one star out for not having AC though they provided table fans (but maybe very common in hotels in this area).

Lovely hotel, lovely location.
Beautiful hotel, superb “old school” service, a real classic type experience. Unfortunately the room had no air conditioning so was quite uncomfortable during the really good weather. I expect it will be completely different during colder weather. Overall though, a really nice hotel.

Unique and special property. Beautiful older hotel. It would be nicer with air conditioning in very hot months. Windows provide wonderful breezes. Very charming. Food wonderful

Horrible, outdated, tiny rooms
The word grand only applies to the exterior appearance of this hotel. I booked a suite with a balcony, and this was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. The hotel is more of a three star hotel, and the quality of the rooms is horrible. The room with so tiny I literally had no space to even open my luggage. The carpets are stained. The rooms are very outdated and extremely basic. Nothing luxurious about these rooms at all. Photos on the website do not even do the rooms justice for what they really look like. Very outdated. Front desk customer service not helpful at all in my request of Trying to get a better room. Or trying to get a partial refund. I would not recommend staying in this hotel at $500 a night it was absolutely horrible experience.
