check in person was unfriendly from the start. He also required me to make a $50.00 deposit which I never paid before. At checkout it was returned to my credit card. Then when I got to the room the air conditioning did not work. I did the normal checkout and to no avail. I called the front desk and the same person came to the room and told me that I pressed too many buttons and he just did the same thing that I did. He called support and they worked for 30 minutes to finally get it to work.

The people running the hotel were very rude and not friendly at all! They were not welcoming and acted as though we were bothering them!! I will NEVER stay there again. I have never felt so unwanted as a guest!!

We stayed 1 night on our way from FL to New England. Met our needs - close to I81, good shower, clean, adequate breakfast. Only drawbacks - no refrigerator to keep our traveling supplies cold so we used ice & only fast food close by.

We had booked a room with 2 queen sized beds which easily accommodates 3 people and upon arrival, i was charged for a third person because "occupancy is 2". They also requested a $50 security deposit which wasn't mentioned on their site. The lobby was way too warm as though the A/C wasn't on. In the room, the clock and phone weren't plugged in because there wasn't an outlet near the bedside table. I don't even know why they had the clock and phone there too begin with. We attempted to put the TV on but couldn't get any channels. When we brought this up at checkout, we were "blamed" for hitting the wrong button and were told it needed to be reset. The free breakfast consisted of a waffle station, yogurt, corn flakes or raisin bran and prepackaged mini muffins. Very lack luster. Waffes had no flavor. At checkout, they sent someone up to the room to inspect before they would refund the deposit so we had to wait in the lobby for them to go up and make sure we didn't break or steal anything. Very unprofessional.

It was the average Microtel no frills stay. Bed was ok. Room was very small as far as as rooms go
