Nice hostel is quiet area
If you would like to get out of the hustle and bustle of town then this hostel is great. It's located out of the CBD and it will take you a tram ride to get there. There isn't too much to do around the area beside some casual walks, the onsen and close distance to Hakodate Mountain. Comfortable for those who are travelling on a budget.

Charming and cozy guesthouse in Hakodate
Staying in Guesthouse Apple was an incredibe experience! The woman who runs the place is very friendly; she doesn't speak much English but enough to help her guests and if you happen to be learning Japanese she's happy to converse with you and practice. The location is good, with a lot of sights within walking distance and more a short tram ride away. The valuable storage locker is very small, and the lock on mine didn't actually work. I also found the bed to be a little short for me (I'm just under 6 feet). Other than that though, I have no complaints about my stay at Guesthouse Apple.

Great house!
It is a bit far from the town's most attractions. Easiest access is to take the city tram from Hakodate station and get off at the end of the line at Yachigashira Station, then walk to the right for another five minutes. (Do not attempt to walk uphill guided by Google Map like I did, it got me lost.) Sachiru, the fantastic hostess, would show you around the house and inform you of the house rules. Be considerate not to make noises at night and early morning. You can also ask to use the washing and drying machines, at a set price of JYP300. Towel is available for rent. There's also kitchen, fridge and common area. The place is overall squeaky-clean.

バイクで行きましたが、谷地頭温泉も近くスタッフも親切でとてもよかったです。設備もきれいで特に単身での短期宿泊には向いてると思います。

整體感覺乾淨舒適,附近環境也很舒服,但是訂房時,說明裡已經有包含空調,可是到了現場,老闆娘卻還收我們每人每晚200日幣的空調費,感覺很不好

불친절하고 무례한 여주인(Very unkind & rude hostess)
처음에 입실할때부터 기숙사 사감이 학생대하듯이 무엇은 안되고 마치 훈계하듯이 이야기함! 골때리는건 달라고도 안했는데 열쇠를 주며 용도는 설명도 제대로하지 않으면서 한개를 잊어버릴때마다 3천엔씩이라는 말부터함! 인상도 않좋은 아줌마가 친절과 예의는 눈을 씻고도 찾아볼수없음! 한방에 2층침대가 3개 6명씩자는데 너무 비좁아서 침대사용이 불편했음! 하코타데가 호텔비가 비싼편이라 어쩔수없이 사용했음! 너무 불쾌함! 여행중 만난 일본인 대다수는 친절했지만 이사람만큼은 불친절하고 무례한 일본사람의 유일한 모습이라할수 있음! 하코다테에서 호텔비 최소15만원의 여유가 않되서 이런숙박업소를 이용할바에는 하코타데에 가지말기바람!

Nice guesthouse

很近谷地頭站，老闆娘平易近人，很有禮貌
離谷地頭電車站近，附近是谷地頭溫泉，有便利店，步行20分鐘可以到函館纜車站。 床位算舒適、廁所和浴室乾濕分離很衛生。
