Perfect for small families or couples, this cozy retreat boasts 2 bedrooms, a loft, and a finished basement with a murphy bed, offering comfortable accommodation for up to 7 guests. Bear Pause Retreat has 2 bedrooms, a loft with queen bed, finished basement with murphy bed, and 2 full bathrooms. The Retreat comes equipped with 3 WiFi connected 4K LED Smart TVs - inclusive of a YouTube TV account for sports, movies, & more. The main floor includes a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom with full-sized bed, and a newly renovated full bath. Upstairs is a private king-sized bedroom with full bathroom, as well as a queen-sized bed in the loft. Downstairs offers a large bar, TV/sitting room, large card/game table, a fold down double murphy bed and a pullout single bed.

At Bear Pause Retreat, you can have some fun creating your own culinary masterpieces with the extra-large, brand new propane/charcoal grill (propane provided) – or gourmet kitchen . At night, there is both an outdoor firepit or indoor gas fireplace to enjoy.

The Hideout offers the following amenities for rental guests: Gym, pool (in season), indoor and outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts, golf course, putt-putt course (we provide the balls and clubs on request), private ski hill. Please note the Hideout charges a mandatory $150 amenity fee for all guests, collected after booking.

You'll also be a short drive from Historic Hawley and Honesdale. There you can enjoy the day on the water via public boat launches or boat rentals or eat at one of many restaurants in town.

We aim to provide an impeccably functioning home that is superbly clean with everything you should need to unwind and relax. We will send a guest book (post booking) with everything we provide, including pictures of everything included in the kitchen. Recreation Galore: Recreational Sports Complex, Golf Course, Indoor/Outdoor Tennis, Power Boat Lake, Two Sand Beaches, Two Heated Outdoor Pools(seasonal), Physical Fitness Center, Mini Golf, Art Center, Woodworkers Building, Private Ski Lift and Lodge, Tubing Run, and several restaurants/bars (including Bistro on the Green, Tenth Hole Pub, and Tiki Bar).

The house comes with amenity badges for use during your stay

Please note: you will NEED to fill out a rental information PDF and provide ID before gaining entry to the gate. All forms and docs should be filled out at least 5 business days in advance of the rental and within 36 hours of your booking or the community will assess a $100 fee.
Up to 7 amenity badges are provided during your stay.

Absolutely no more than 7 people and 3 cars are allowed on the lot.
No other guests can visit the Lot while you are there. All names and ages must be registered on the application when submitted.

HOUSE RULES
Please note there are neighbors around the house and sound travels far. We are trying to create a serene getaway for our guests as well as be respectful to our neighbors. So we ask that outside noise be kept to reasonable levels. To ensure this environment we have outdoor noise monitors.
Dogs under 15lbs allowed on a case by case basis, approved pets are $75/per pet.
Please note we have a minimum age requirement of 25 years old.
We require the majority of guests to be above 25 years old, with the exception of families with children.
Please note guests must fill out a rental permit with the association 5 days prior to arrival. A link will be provided post booking.
Guests must register their private boats with the Hideout Association if they plan to bring.
Parking limited to 3 cars, NO RVs.

We aim to set the standard for short-term rental experiences.
We will proactively notify you when early check-in and/or late check-out are possible.
