Quiet cabin on the river
This Thousand Islands get away was exactly what my family hoped. Even 4 days of cold rain in August did not dampen the experience. Cozy days reading by the fireplace and rainy excursions to Cape Vincent provided a dramatic backdrop to Tibbets Point Lighthouse. When the weather cleared, the family enjoyed exploring

Family Vacation
We loved our stay at Jamie Lane cabin. It felt like home. The views were amazing and a bird watchers dream. We had our morning coffee watching the osprey, turtles sunning themselves on a log, comorants and loons. We enjoyed the amenities the cabin had to offer, rented a boat for the week that we were able to dock right at the cabin dock. Visited local wineries, Boldt Castle & Singer Castle, we felt like kids again going go carting & the cabin had atari to play on the one rainy night we had. Our two dogs felt at home as well. Very pet friendly. Thank you for letting is enjoy your little piece of heaven.

Perfect summer getaway
I grew up visiting the Thousand Islands every summer. After staying away for a very long time, I decided it was high time to start my own family summer tradition. I brought my wife and kids and my in-laws to Erin's cabin on Chippewa Bay. Everything we could have hoped for! The cabin was both rustic and well-appointed. The bay was calm and quiet. Perfect for paddling the two included kayaks. Sunsets were magnificent. A wonderfully relaxing and soul-satisfying week.

Wonderful vacation
Our family have a fantastic time. Perfect location for spotting ships coming by very easy to come in and out of the dock with our 18’ boat. Enjoyed using the canoe to troll around the shoreline. Added bonus we were in our most favorite area to fish. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

It is perfect for us. The sounds of the river is a wonderful way to describe this. The wildlife over the water was stunning.! The ships between the islands... the beach and dock with the boom for weeds was excellent access for our family... The modern AC and heat were well appreciated... TONS of rainy day activities in cabin.. loved the trash and recycling system for this property... The outdoor fire pit, basketball hoop and lawn games were ideal as well. The dogs could not have been happier. We loved the hose by the back door to rinse off pups. Thank you!

Relaxing, wonderful vacation
We had an absolutely wonderful week at the log cabin! The place is well thought-out, incredibly well stocked with everything you could need for your vacation and provides a super friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Little touches like the dog bowls and dog run cable outside were great, as was the well-equipped kitchen and having the option to use the kayak and canoe as well as having so many life jackets available. Communication was easy and friendly when we needed it - can't wait to come back next year again :)

Paradise!
We had an amazing week at the river in this cabin. We've been coming to this area for many years but this is the first time staying at this cabin. The property was perfect for us. Lots of space to accommodate my family of 5 and 2 small dogs. We loved that the porch was gated and that there was dog tie-out with lots of space for our little beagle to run since she doesn't know how to be off leash yet. The beds and couches were very comfortable! The amenities of air conditioning, a dishwasher, and washer/dryer made our week much more enjoyable for sure. There is a gas grill on the deck which is not mentioned in the listing, this was also a bonus for us. We saw so many amazing birds and creatures - frogs, turtles, snakes etc. We ended up keeping a list and it went well into the 30's. We saw something new everyday. If I had to list some cons - the water was too green and filled with grass to swim anywhere near the property. The kayak was super dirty inside and the seat appeared broken. We didn't take the time to clean it up and try it out. You can't see the sunset from the property - it is blocked by another house. Thanks Erin and Aaron for sharing this slice of heaven with us!

Gorgeous Sunsets & Comfortable Beds
We enjoyed our visit to this cabin on the river very much! The bullfrogs and birds provide a lovely soundtrack to the beautiful views from the back deck. We were happy to see the cupboards were fully stocked with spices and everything we needed to prepare meals. The beds were comfortable and we were relieved to have the mini-splits pumping AC as the weather was up in the 90's when we visited. We were also very pleased with the privacy of this property and happy to have pleasant renters in the other rental on the private drive during our visit. It would be so fun to have a big group here at these two properties! We brought a 19' fishing boat and it was easy to put in at the public boat launch just down the street. We were very happy to have the ability to island hop and find great swim spots around the 1000 Islands. Swimming off the property was not very welcoming, even on the beach. (Lots of weeds, algae, mucky bottom.) Our only other critique was that the cleaning price was quite high. The property was clean, but for that amount of money, I'd hope for a little extra care with past visitor's pet hair upon check-in.

Log Cabin 2022
The booking and check in process was seamless. Loved the keypad entry and did not have to worry about a key. The location and setting were perfect. The view was gorgeous. We enjoyed the wildlife and the fishing. Cabin was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots pans dishes utensils etc. We brought our boat and we were able to keep it at the dock. There is a rock shoal in front that is not marked and we did hit our motor on it even tho we went very slow thru there. Sometimes the farthest rock out showed and sometimes the water was above it and If you are not familiar with it, it can easily be hit. Would suggest marking it with a buoy to ensure it does not happen to anyone else. We were not able to swim as the designated swimming area and immediate area around the dock was very weedy. The owner did have weeds cut the day before we left so should be better for next group coming in. The deck was awesome and we spent a lot of time out there. The wifi and Smart TV were nice extras. On our rainy day or in the evening we watched Rocky movies. The owner was very easy to text with and was very nice. Overall it was a great week and nice cabin. Would definitely Stay again!

Beautiful property!
This cabin is beautiful. The property is breathtaking, and the wildlife is fun and friendly! My daughter got a kick out of feeding the chipmunks by hand. The check in process was a little rocky, because our code didn't work when we arrived to unlock the door, and my parents had coolers full of frozen food, and everyone was exhausted and cranky from the 7 hour drive. That being said, I emailed the host and she responded within 12 minutes, and a few minutes later we were in. So it really wasn't a big deal. The host is super responsive and very friendly!! I stayed with my 70 year old parents, and my 6 year old daughter, and our 2 small dogs. There are 3 bedrooms (plus a bonus room, with a twin sized bed). One bedroom is downstairs, right next to the bathroom, which was super convenient for my parents. The other sleeping rooms are up a steep, narrow set of wooden stairs, which did make me nervous with our daughter & 11 year old dogs going up and down, but there is an arm rail. The 2 main bedrooms upstairs are large and very cozy. The middle one is small, but has the best view!! The kitchen and bathroom were clean, and the shower has excellent water pressure. The living room is cozy, and the fireplace came in handy the first week were there when the temps dropped into the 60s. The A/C worked beautifully for the second week, which was in the mid 80's!! You do not need to bring any extra fans or heaters for your stay. You might expect the bugs to be bad in the middle of this wooded area, however, the property is treated professionally for pests, so the bugs weren' t bad at all. The only bugs I noticed in the cabin were some silverfish, which honestly are hard to get rid of in an all wood cabin on the edge of a river. The deck is huge! If you step out there in the evenings with the wind blowing towards the cabin, and look out at the water, it feels like you're on a cruise ship. The patio furniture was very nice as well, and looked either brand new or very well kept. We took the small canoe and the kayak out on our last day, which was a lot of fun. The waters edge is covered in duckweed and full of frogs, turtles, and snakes, so it was fun to paddle through it all. The area this cabin is located in is quiet, with friendly neighbors, and lots of wildlife. The public lot is very "local" and convenient, and the general store at the boat launch has both gas and worms, and is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!! :-)

River Living at its Finest!
Spent a fantastic week at The Log Cabin in late June / early July 2021. The cabin had everything we could possibly need or want. The washer/dryer, air conditioning (much appreciated on hot days), wifi, and smart TV were the icing on the cake. We loved the privacy and the expanse of waterfront property that we were on. Hanging out on the deck or in the provided chairs on the granite outcropping was so relaxing and the sunsets couldn't be beat. Having the villages of Clayton (great shops and restaurants) and Alex Bay (highly recommend Uncle Sam Boat Tours and Boldt Castle) within a half hour drive was an added plus. I suggest bringing "floaties"/inner tubes to make it easier to ease into the water for swimming. The water was warm but also very weedy while we were there. However, there are plenty of areas that are great for swimming at the state parks that are close by. Kayaking and canoeing near the property in the provided boats was fabulous. The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs during our stay. Highly recommended!
