About this property

Prairie View Farm, Harmony MN

Prairie View Farm is perfectly located on a winding road through a pristine country landscape. All the charm of yesteryear in a beautifully restored farmhouse that retains its 100 year old history while embracing modern sensibilities. Rural and rustic surrounded by low rolling hills, Prairie View Farm is a place to commune with nature with evenings spent stargazing by a bonfire. Though private and secluded, it’s only a short drive to a multitude of restaurants, shops, and recreation options.
The space
This old farm is on a quiet, windy gravel road. surrounded by low rolling hills, Forests, crops and Amish country.
Guest access
You have full use of the house. Fire pit, 8 acres of land to explore and you are free to walk the property and enjoy the woods. However going inside the out buildings is not allowed for safety reasons.
Other things to note
Please note that we do have a hot spot for Internet access (network and password are on the magnet board in the fridge), but it is spotty at times. The farmhouse is a place to unplug, and please know there may be times Internet access is limited. The TV does not have signal, and only functions for DVD movies, which we have a wide selection of.

The antique oven does work, but unfortunately due to past guest mistakes we have disconnected the oven for safety, as it is a fire hazard if used improperly. The stove top does work for breakfast food, skillet/soup/stew, etc. We also have a pizza oven, grills (gas & charcoal outside), microwave, and crockpot available for use.

Quiet and remote with a touch of historical charm.
I enjoyed our stay here. An older home that has its charm and quirks. Photos are a decent representation of the place. Upstairs bath (not photograhed) was a bit unconventional. I thought it was fine for me but the wife and daughter-in-law were not huge fans. Quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again.

Our 42nd anniversary get away
This was a really fun place. We walked in and I was immediately taken back to my grandmother"s house which was built in 1910. Cooking on the stove was a little intimidating at first, but we got the hang of it. Spent time in a bunch of small towns nearby. We would definitely recommend this property.
