Historic Area in Town with Beautiful Flowers, Hot Tub on private patio, 2 bikes

Wake up in your relaxing carriage house and leisurely make a cup of coffee to start your day. (K pods & French vanilla creamer provided or Mr. Coffee available) and enjoy greeting the day inside on the comfortable leather sofa. However, my favorite is sitting outside and enjoying the birds singing and the sound of the fountains running. The coneflowers and patio plants are looking beautiful as you enjoy the backyard oasis. Enjoy hiking or the bike trail (we have two bikes for guest use) and now we have an electric bike rental business right down the street. Ride or walk half a mile to the Tunnel Hill bike trail or half a mile in the opposite direction takes you to our Harrisburg Park. It's a great time to get outdoors!
While you are here you can go inside & relax with your favorite shows streaming on the 55" TV or go outside for a soak in the private hot tub. In the living area, we have added a desk, chair, and computer (WIFI is fast) with shortcuts to our favorite trails, restaurants, and activities such as ziplining, kayaking, and horseback riding. Use the keyboard to explore or search the internet so you can “know before you go”. Watch your favorite shows on our 55" Smart TV with Roku (55" Smart TV -Paramount+/Discovery+/Amazon Prime available or sign into your Netflix, Hulu, etc.)

We have an electric fireplace under the Smart TV (ROKU remote) which is so nice for the cooler evenings. Stay connected with fast WIFI. Grill/cook inside or walk to nearby restaurants. Enjoy the fire pit or fireplace, hammock chairs, outdoor Adirondack chairs, and a dining area with charcoal grill.

We also have a washer & dryer available for our guests to use downstairs, in the garage under the Apartment.
The private, upstairs living space, is over 800 square feet, but please, no smoking or pets on property.
We send your door access code and welcome letter to your phone before your visit, so checking in is a breeze.

Our Apartment is in a building detached from house, over our 3-car garage.
Whether you are here for business or exploring the Shawnee Forest, we hope to change your lodging experience by your stay with us. When you are here, relax in this two-bedroom apartment to enjoy your "home away from home"!

Located in the historic part of town, the Apartment is in a separate building from the main house, over a three-car garage. It's three blocks from the town square where you will find several restaurants and a coffee shop.
The front door has a lock code/keypad entrance. Guests receive the door code before their arrival. Free wireless internet access and a desk with computer make it easy to stay connected.

~ Relax on the leather sofa while enjoying the wall mounted 55" Smart TV.

Our library area has some great books, all genres for reading inside or outside in the swinging chairs in the patio area. We also have some games in the drawer under the books. We have added a desk and computer for a workstation in this area. It has icons to visit our favorite trails, restaurants, and activities such as ziplining, kayaking, and horseback riding.

Perfect getaway in southern Indiana
We were in town for a wedding and couldn’t have stayed in a better place. Judy was the perfect host! Their place is impeccably decorated for the fall as I’m sure it is for other seasons. She made us feel like part of the family. I wish we were there longer.

It is clear that a lot of love and attention have been poured into this cozy apartment. It has been lovingly decorated (season themed) and has a charming garden with hummingbirds included. The apartment is walking distance to a park with pickleball courts and a nice Italian restaurant (healthy portions and super friendly staff). Thank you for a great stay.!

Delightful getaway
Single parent with 2 teens. They had their own beds and room. The garden patio was amazing! And I relaxed there in private both evening and morning while my teens enjoyed the WiFi in the apartment. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and the robes were a very nice touch! You can tell the owners like to be hospitable and enjoy sharing their space! There were so many small touches that showed their efforts! Thanks!

It was a lovely apartment with so many great extras like fluffy robes and towels, a Keurig with Kcups, baked goods on arrival, and of course the gorgeous yard and hot tub. Judy was a fantastic host and a great communicator. It was a great location to get to Garden of the Gods and do other hikes in Shawnee National Forest.

One Night Stay
My 14 year old son and I came for one night. We came to break up a long drive and also visit the Shawnee National Forest. The apartment is adorable and super clean. So many nice touches in every corner. The yard is beautiful and very relaxing. We did not use the hot tub this trip, but we hope to be back. I really did not want to leave this place, it is so adorable. The small downtown is very close and just a short driving distance away, you have all the fast food chains and a Walmart. There is a very cool coffee shop walking distance from the apartment. Judy is so friendly and has such a positive energy about her. The Shawnee national Forest was beautiful and garden of the gods and Rimrock was easily accessible and beautiful.

Pros: very clean, lots of sweet touches, Judy is very friendly. Cons: queen bed was horrible, I slept 2nd & 3rd nights in twin, it wasn't private like we were looking for, it's on a shared property and the hot tub was next to the owner's home.

We could not have picked a better place to stay in Harrisburg!
Judy was in touch with us and stayed in contact even before our trip. She provided much needed information regarding our time in town during a big event. The apartment was the cutest, most accommodating place to stay and was centrally located in town. Judy had thought of all the right touches. Everything that we needed was there! The outdoor area was very inviting and relaxing too! It is evident that Judy puts her heart and soul into making sure that her guests feel welcomed and that their stay is stress free. We will definitely stay there next time we are in town!

This property is a gem! The amenities are fabulous, it was exactly as described, and the host left a helpful welcome letter printed for us. Beds were comfy, appliances all in great working condition, smart TV easy to use, and plenty of comforts like A/C units and blankets.
