A peaceful and private getaway on 3+ acres in a small country neighborhood. This lovely place sits on a private lane just off 291 Highway and is just 1½ miles from access to I-49 making it quick and easy to enjoy all the amenities of the Kansas City Area; then retire from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This upscale lodging is well-lit, tastefully and comfortably furnished, suitable for the businessman needing a quiet place to work, a couple on a romantic getaway or the family on holiday.
The wood burning brick fireplace, the focal point of the roomy living area, allows you to enjoy a cozy fire while fixing dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. (Wood for a fire is provided.) We have beautiful woodwork throughout and comfortable leather living room furniture.
You will be tempted outside by the shady patio surrounded by lush ferns, tropical flowers and plants where you will enjoy the breezes in the Spring, Summer or Fall. You will have lots of birds & squirrels to watch; you can listen to the cows’ moo, see an occasional deer and now & then a fox.
Three minutes away in the small town of Harrisonville you will find everything you need at the local Walmart or the farm & home store. There is a great coffee shop, a new B&B Movie Theater, a beautiful park as well as several restaurants.
We have board games, card games, books to read, DVD and Satellite movies to watch, badminton, soccer, Frisbee, 2 large TV’s with 150+ channels, a private lane to walk, and we can point you to the local bike trails as well as the nearby Katy Trail. If you enjoy riding bikes, we may recruit you to ride with our local biking group. If there is something else you enjoy, ask! We may have that also.
Come stay with us; you won’t be disappointed. We will greet you with a waffle mix and bacon for breakfast. There will be special seasonal decorations. We are sooo looking forward to making your stay a special one.
(We have an attractive weekly rate that is more affordable than our daily rate, but only one breakfast is provided.)
Our guest quarters are part of our home. It is 1000 square feet of completely private space. We enter on one side of the house and the entrance to the guest quarters is on the opposite side of the house. The facility has a completely separate parking area, a private patio and its own yard space. We have added some sound deadening insulation but you may hear some people noises. This is a completely private space, and we have worked hard to make it a comfortable and peaceful get-away.
