I wasn’t expecting the tiny room. There wasn’t even enough space to open my suitcase except for the bed. The bed had no top sheet, only a very heavy and uncomfortable comforter. There was also some sort of construction going on and I had specifically booked a room so I’d be able to nap due to jet lag and I was unable to. The lockers that you were supposed to hang your clothes in only had 3 hangers. Won’t be back.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The check in went smooth with the check-in. And the breakfast service was very good. The staff paid extra attention to my food intolerance which was very helpful and kind. 🙏. Room was good and has all you need. . Only comment would be that the pillows are bit thin. For the rest highly recommended!

Its a cute trendy hotel that has all the necessary amenities for a couple of days in Hasselt City. I advice it only if you are traveling solo, even if in double rooms, cuz they are too small and lack privacy. I stayed at room 109. Pros: - Great Location in Hasselt, not far from station and the main shopping square - Trendy decor and hip - The shower pressure is great - Prices are affordable Cons: - They accidentally gave my room key to another guest that opened the room on me half an hour after I checked in to the room. They said they forgot the room is occupied by me cuz I got an early check in. That gave me a sense of insecurity during my stay. - Room lacks privacy if two people. No barrier between toilet and bedroom except a curtain. - The shower has no enough floor height, so after shower water will spill into the floor even if curtain closed. So annoying. - No phone to call reception in the room - No toiletries provided except two tiny bar of soaps - No welcoming amenities even water bottle.

Wonderful, trendy, unique hotel with a great vibe
Wonderful, trendy, unique hotel with a great vibe in a safe phenomenal location. I was in Belgium for the BMX WorldChampionship. A friend sent the link for the YUP so booked without researching. It isn’t as close to the BMX track as I would have liked but I am so glad I booked it. The rooms are so unique. The cabin was comfy and I slept well. The shower was roomy enough, clean and had good water pressure. The staff was friendly, helpful, willing converse in English and eager to assist. There is an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel that serves exquisite lasagne. I paid a small fee for the breakfast buffet which was well worth it. The wide variety included bacon, eggs and pancakes. An iron, ironing board and refrigerator in each room would elevate the YUP to my only hotel in Hasselt to book list.
