Farriers Quarters Studio on 280 acre Sevier River Ranch - 2 Queen Beds

Farriers Quarters is part of an existing group of 6 cabins on a nearly 300 acre cattle ranch at Sevier River Ranch & Cattle Company - a quiet 280 acre ranch in Hatch, Utah, between Bryce Canyon (25 mins) and Zion National Park (50 mins). Farriers Quarters is log cabin style in a 3 unit building much like a 3 unit motel. It shares that building with The Tack Room and The Barn. This is your opportunity to enjoy a stay in a recently remodeled cabin. Have a look at the top reviews for other cabins at Sevier River Ranch & Cattle Company and rest assured that your expectations will be exceeded.

This is a single log cabin style room with a luxury bathroom included. It has been recently remodeled with travertine floors throughout (no carpet). The room features a travertine bathroom and a kitchen with granite counter tops and custom hickory cabinets. It has handmade log beds.

Farriers Quarters also features a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a kitchen table, and a flat screen smart TV (you can use it to log into your Netflix or other accounts. The ranch includes pastures with the Sevier River meandering throughout and majestic sunsets. It has central heating and air conditioning.

High speed Internet service (free wifi) and Smart TV available to use with your accounts. WiFi has been upgraded to the new local fiber optic network.

There are also 4 other small cabins on the property and a 3 bedroom house within 200 feet or so from Farriers Quarters: The Ranch House, Wranglers Quarters, Ranch Hands Bunkhouse, and The Barn have been in operation for several years. Farriers Quarters and The Tack Room were added for the 2020 Season. These cabins may be reserved together with Farriers Quarters (through separate listings) for your large group gathering. Be advised that other guests will be staying in other cabins during your stay in Farriers Quarters. Our cabins book almost 100 % during the busy season.

You will enjoy a good night rest in eery silence. If you're from the big city, it will take some getting used to!

The property is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic locks so that guests can check themselves in at any time, and late check-in is not a problem. Guests can roam freely on the ranch as well as fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim in the Sevier River.

We are always available to answer any questions or give you tips for day trips or restaurants. Do not hesitate to reach out with any question, prior or during your trip.

You can explore the natural wonders of the area. The Ranch is located between 2 of the most visited National Parks in the country. Animal lovers will see horses and cattle on the property during the summer, many deer roaming the property, and can watch a large array of birds right from the deck. We have the biggest animal sanctuary (Friends) in the US 45 minutes away. It is situated on the Sevier River in Hatch, Utah, a small rural town of 200 people. Locals are very friendly and helpful, and you shouldn't hesitate to ask anyone for tips and recommendations.

The Sevier River Ranch is very private on the edge of town. It sits on 280 acres and is traversed by the Sevier River and there are typically 100+ head of cattle on the property during the summer season.

Note that there are no grocery stores in Hatch and you should plan to bring at least some food with you. The nearest grocery store is in Panguitch (15 mins) and you will find a Walmart Super Center in Cedar City or a grocery store in Kanab (1 hour). There are two convenience stores and 4 restaurants in Hatch, but they close from about October 15th through April 15th. There are several restaurants on the way to Bryce Canyon and some are open year round.

There is no public transportation. You will need a car (a 4x4 or high clearance is recommended in order to enjoy the surrounding off road trails), but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the Ranch House itself.

We have a strict no-pet and no-smoking policy.

Sevier River Ranch stay in Farriers Quarters
We stayed in the Farriers Quarters cabin. Everything was as described and very clean. The owner has done a great job trying to make visitors stay as enjoyable as possible. Full kitchen, bath had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Large TV that we didn't really use, but very large compared to what we usually see. There is a Binder with the local things to do and see. Plus the owner has a blog that makes a lot of great recommendations for thing to do. The owner also went out of his way to communicate things to us personally when I had some questions. We had a great stay!

Comfortable stay, beautiful spot
I took my mother to Bryce Canyon and Zion for her birthday and luckily, I found this spot to stay for a couple of nights. When we arrived, there were deer grazing on the lawn right next to the cabin. We stayed in Farrier’s Quarters, and it was very cozy and cute. The beds were comfortable and it was perfect for what we were looking for. It even smelled great like the wood that it is built out of. It was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views.. Would definitely stay again!

You wont find a better place to stay for Bryce Canyon and Zion
Farrier's Quarters and the whole ranch area far exceeded our expectations and we were already expecting greatness. The common area and fire pit was the perfect place for morning coffee watching the sunrise, snd the room itself was upscale and spotless. Wildlife around was fun to see as well. We had a family of mule deer greet us one evening. Check in was so easy and Gordon was always quick to reply from booking to checkin with any questions we had. The town of Hatch was perfect for a friendly place to grab coffee on the go or to sit down for a great meal. Hatch's central location to Zion and Bryce Canyon was ideal. If i ever go back to that area, I would change dates if I had to just to make sure I got this exact same rental.

Hatch stay at Sevier River Ranch
Enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Convenient to Bryce and Zion parks. Property was as advertised. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Only improvement I could suggest is to have some BBQ tools in unit. We grilled one night but made do with what we had.

Great place
The listing of the property is spot on, and it was even a little roomier than I imagined (though there’s no great seating beyond the chairs around the table). The kitchen is stocked with necessities (and an excellent assortment of spices, and some coffee), but that’s about all. If you’re planning on cooking, I’d bring any specialty utensil that you need. Location was far enough from town and the highway that it was nice and quiet, but it’s probably 5 minutes from Hatch. Public road to the property was paved, and the short distance on the ranch road was no problem.

Wonderful room, gorgeous property
We stayed very briefly but loved our stay. The bathroom and kitchenette were nice and coffee provided was an extra bonus. Having to shoo cows out of the driveway in the morning was honestly great (it only took a couple seconds for them to moo-ve). Would recommend to family and friends.

Nice ranch with cows greeting us on the road! Gordon was very attentive to our needs and helped out with anything we needed! A few suggestions I would make to help guests have a lovely stay. Move fire pit away from window of Ferriers quarters so that the light from fire and noise from people doesn’t interfere with a good night’s sleep. Top sheets were appreciated thank you! A flat pan to cook pizza would be awesome! Finding a way to turn off icemaker on fridge would be helpful! Cleaning lady was helpful and friendly! Be warned that there’s not much shade outside to sit under! Nice grounds! A gazebo would make a wonderful addition lol! Thanks Gordon for a lovely stay! We enjoyed our canyon hikes! Utah is beautiful!

Great one room stay with attached bathroom with large shower and toiletries situated in country about 30 minutes from park. Trout fishing opportunity if you bring your tackle. Bring what you need as there were few options close to dine or buy food in April. Nice firepit with wood provided.

This was a great stay! Stayed for one night while going from Zion to Bryce Canyon. The cabin was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. I appreciate the heads up to eat and get groceries ahead of time as there is nothing in the immediate surrounding area. We would absolutely stay again!

Ranch Review
My friend and I stayed at Sevier Ranch for 10 days while we hiked the surrounding national parks, forests and monuments. Great central location. Ranch is removed and private. Spotless inside. Could use a few more dishes and utensils for guests who stay longer than 1-2 nights. The drive is long and gravel - be prepared, as the rains can cause small gullies and holes. Owner happened to be on property during part of our stay - he dropped in to check we had all we needed. Overall - we highly recommend this accommodation.

What a beautiful location. The ranch is well enough off the local road/highway to make it quiet, and the landscape is beautifully undeveloped- lots of great vistas in most directions. The cabin itself is just as advertised: a fully wooden interior, with great views out the living room, kitchen and bathroom windows (we saw three deer trotting along just outside the back). Beds are comfortable, lighting is good, shower is fine (and probably the best views out a bathroom window i've ever had). Only minor criticisms: dishwasher doesn't work (we ran it once and it ran for 3 hours but had to re-wash them in the sink; and if I enjoyed the place more when we didn't have immediate neighboring guests on the other side of the wall (not a lot of extra noise, but enough to notice). There are two other attached cabins adjacent to Farriers; I loved it most when we had it all to ourselves, but neighboring guests were respectfully quiet and of course I respect the host's being able to get a return on his great investment. Overall highly recommend- would definitely stay there again.
