Room wasn’t ready when we arrived and wasn’t ready until 4.30 (3 pm check in). Were made to feel as though this was our problem as the rooms were interconnected and one of them wasn’t ready. We only booked 2 rooms and didn’t even request interconnected ones. After much complaining they offered to pay for our parking. I explained at the time that we would be staying for longer than 1 day in the car park due to a late flight and they said ok. On check out yet more issues with the staff re car park paying. Really bad customer care

Dated, inconvenient yet reasonably priced
Hotel is very dated and in need of a renovation. Rooms are average size, beds were comfortable. AC units are old, noisy and it was hard to get the temperature you wanted. There is major construction outside the hotel therefore it was quite the ordeal to get outside and walk anywhere. You have to go to Scotia centre and walk through extremely hot pedways. If you come back after hours, good luck trying to find you way back through many locked doors. This is the reason I believe we got a deal on the room; it's very inconvenient to get anywhere on foot. We also mentioned that we received a Gold status with Hotels.com and therefore were entitled to an upgrade. Don't bother asking about it because they tell you they are full. We were on the 2nd floor, no views. If you book with Expedia, you will not see any room higher than the 3rd floor.

Area around the hotel is under major construction which makes it hard to enter/leave the property or even order an Uber. Also this property may have had a hot tub at one time, but all we saw was an area where it used to be. Hotel is very dated.

The major roadworks underway at this time affected the ease of access to the property. The fact that only 2 out of three elevators were operating during the visit meant you lined up to use the remaining elevators. The elevator door closed so quickly that we rushed to get in and then had to push to keep the doors open for the next people. These may be temporary inconveniences . The staff ( especially at reception desk) were outstanding! I cannot emphasize enough how phenomenal they were- friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, helpful, flexible and taking pride in their work!
