Great hotel in Central Havana
The B&B is nicely situated in Central Havana, midway between the Vedado (known for its night-life), and Havana Vieja (great area to walk around during the day). Rooms have clean private bathrooms. There are two-three shared Wifi networks -- a great thing in Cuba, since you can share the costs of the ETECSA card with other tourists. We also enjoyed the possibility of choosing among three breakfast options, from 3CUC/person (includes coffee and bread with marmelade, which was more than enough for us), to 5CUC/person (full breakfast, with freshly-pressed fruit juice and fried eggs). The bartender, Gabrielle, also helped us check in when we arrived; he was very welcoming, and spent the better part of an hour giving us a crash course in the Cuban way of life and shared with us a printed map with some of the essentials (ETECSA cards, CADECA money exchange, nice bars and restaurants etc).

Excellent value for money! the accommodation is fairly basic, but adequate, clean and at a cost that is hard to beat. We stayed for a week at a cost of less than one night in one of the city centre fancy hotels.

There are few 'nice' areas in Havana but this was supposed to be a safe downtown area but the taxi driver was reluctant to leave us. However once we entered the property the people were very nice. The ensuite room was basic, but airconditioned. The water in ensuite was warm if not hot, but Havana is very hot. Breakfast was a feast - much too much and had to ask for less on 2nd day. Booked taxi for our transfer to airport did not arrive, but Gabriel soon fixed one from the street. Overall OK for 2 nights for the price.

Nice clean casa in a convenient location
Not too far and not too close to the busy areas of old Havana, our hostess was very kind and helpful. The AC worked nicely and we enjoyed the hot showers. The room is small but overall cozy! Breakfast was nice.

Central Havana is not a great area to stay. The saving grace is that you can spend your days at the hotel National de Cuba for $25. This includes $20 of food and drinks around the pool. It’s walking distance. The B.B. itself is fine. Be prepared for the fact that there are no windows. The air conditions had cooled the room before we arrived and Gabriel carried many of our cases to the rooms.

Great location and friendly staff
B&B Central Habana was in a great central location between Old Habana, the University and the Malecon. Very easy to walk everywhere. Staff were friendly especially Roxanna who made us feel very welcome and kindly provided a very helpful map when we arrived. Breakfast was really good every morning! We had a lovely stay here.

Cuando llegamos, la primera impresión no fue buena por el estado de la fachada de la casa y una escalera larga para subir con dos valijas grandes. Al ingresar todo mucho mejor, una casa antigua acondicionada, todo muy limpio y con un barcito para disfrutar de unos tragos. La habitación buena, con aire acondicionado y frigobar. El chico que trabaja ahí “el japonés” nos dió todos los tips para andar en la ciudad y evitar engaños de gente que te habla por la calle. Ademas nos aconsejó donde conseguir habanos y ron más baratos. Muy buena onda, atento en todo y cocina muy bien!
