Access was very difficult with several flights of stairs to climb, totally unsuitable for elderly people. Secondary glazing removed hence the room was very noisy as it faced a main road. Curtains very thin hence street light ingress. Room floor sloped and generally the room and bathroom condition very run down. Hot water required running the tap for about 5 minutes, what a waste.

Un-ecofriendly hot water supply
Generally, I am happy with the stay. However, the hot water from the shower unit was very un-ecofriendly. I have to drain out the initial cold water for at least 5 minutes before any hot water supply. I am not sure whether other rooms have the same situation. What a waste of water resource

The staff were brilliant. Friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The hotel would benefit from an overall refurbishment, carpets and paintwork look quite worn. When we arrived finding the entrance to the car park proved quite challenging, maybe some directions to it on the website would help. The breakfast coffee was terrible however the food overall was better than expected, generally well cooked and tasty with some nice touches such as pea shoots and sliced chilli on the SE asian curry. The Sunday roast was also a hit.

I thought the telephone manner of the 2 people I booked with was friendly and patient and helpful, I was visiting Havant for the first time and felt I could ask for more. Room was spacious and temperature good, lovely beds, functional and clean bathroom with hot water.Nice staff and appeared to be nice clientele. Liked the attentive breakfast staff.
