Upon arrival my son needed to go to the bathroom, and there was no toilet paper - upon hunting and a phonecall I found 1 roll for 10 people for 4 days.
This was the start of things that I would expect to be there, not being present which then further builds resentment.
I spoke to the real estate agent on the phone about what we needed to bring. They said sheets, pillow slips and towels. We did not bring bathmats, hand soap (soap at all) - if you use soap on a basin then there is no soap dish or anywhere to put the soap, shower soap (I guess you can use the same one), toilet paper, tea towels (luckily we had one packed - but it was to protect something, not intended for use).
There is an extremely small kitchen - I would say it would be smaller / similar to a 1 bedroom apartment kitchen, with two dishwasher tablets (the dishwasher was half size a standard one). Again this is for 2 families for 4 days. Then there is a BBQ - that is quite nice, apart from if you open the doors underneath - it is disgusting. The ideal situation with a BBQ is when there are utensils to cook with. There was one pair of tongs and no scraper / BBQ tool type thing.
The amount of things you need to bring (like hand soap and toilet paper - the real estate gave us another 3 rolls - we went shopping and just purchased some), made this quite a frustrating holiday and then brings up a lot of the things you typically overlook. The location is great - Hawks Nest is great
