Unfortunately, upon arrival for check in I was told that my husband, 3 children and I could not stay in the room that I booked (2 queen bed) as my booking listed for 2 kids and not 3. I have a 7yr old, 3yr old and 10mth old. I asked if it were really an issue, since the 3rd child is a baby and we’ve stayed at this hotel twice before in the same size room. We didn’t need a crib, or rollaway or anything. I was told there was no way we could stay in that room since we have 5ppl total. I expressed that we drove 5 hours from WA state and at that point it was after 11pm so finding another hotel for the night was slim. She then gave me the option to either purchase a new bigger room, that was triple the original price I paid for the room or cancel. Of course I canceled and tried to find another hotel for the night. We didn’t. So we had to drive all the way back home for the night. The next day, I called 2 hotels (in the same vicinity as this hotel) to book and make sure my 3rd child (the baby) wouldn't be an issue if I were to book a 2 queen bed room for my family. I was told no it wasnt. So we booked 1 of those. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and really hurt over this situation. As a black woman I feel like I was being discriminated against and the older white lady clerk just didn’t want my family to stay there. What a shame because this hotel used to be such a very welcoming and family oriented place to stay. Literally our go-to every time we visited Oregon. Not anymore.

Great stay!
Soup reception was a surprise and my kids loved it! Also, what was not listed that there was a hot tub AND a spa! That was also a pleasant surprise. Overall clean rooms and breakfast had nice variety and was a great breakfast. The only negative - it's kind of hard to get to.

Staff was very friendly at check in - lobby was nicely appointed (love the Jantzen Beach theme). Unfortunately, our room had an odd smell maybe mildew? We were only staying one night and were gone at a concert otherwise would have asked to be moved. The free drink and breakfast service was a delightful surprise. Only other problem was some hair in the shower and something sticky on the floor (likely soda) that hadn’t been wiped up. Again, staff was friendly and professional and would consider trying hotel again. Thank you, Jim and Andrea Bergan stayed on 7/19/24

3 times security guards followed us to our room. We felt harrased. The room was dirty. They did not give us breakfast vouchers. We had 2 rooms. They would not order food for us at 9:45 pm even though the restaurant closed at 10pm. They did not give us late check out. The staff were rude. Checking in had huge line. When we got to counter it took the person half hour to check us in.

It’s a bit loud from jets at times, but not enough to wake you when you sleep. The room was good sized, with refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker I. The room as well.
