Our family of 8-9 stayed at this beautiful property for three nights. We enjoyed the character and charm of the farm house, the space, amenities, and its cleanliness. We would certainly choose this home again. I highly recommend it.

Great place, peaceful, the back porch is where we hung out most of the time we were there. The only negative is the carpenter bees were tearing up the porch.

Beautiful property, clean house, accommodating host!
The property was so beautiful, secluded enough to feel the peace and quiet, but close enough to stores and things to do. It was clean, big enough for our whole family and we loved the huge dining table to share meals together. One of our guests was elderly, but was able to get around the house just fine, however there are small steps that may be difficult for some throughout the house. My only real complaint would be that I wish the beds were a little more comfy, but the only ones who had issues with it were those of us who are already achey. Lol the host was also very accommodating and we would definitely come back again!

Toccoa Falls Wedding Accommodation
My daughter was married at Toccoa Falls this week and this is where our family stayed for the wedding. We had eight adults. This was the perfect place to stay for this event. Five bedrooms and five full bathrooms!! A wonderful kitchen as I made the wedding cake the day we arrived. I brought my own equipment but for general meal prep the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the front and back porches for sitting. All the beds were very comfortable. This house is about 15 minutes from Toccoa Falls. In the pictures the rec room has a bunk bed. Not anymore! It was replaced with a queen bed and two twins. Perfect! The owner gave a very detailed welcome email which I appreciated. I would recommend this house for those traveling to a Toccoa Falls wedding.

Mountain Top we’ll done!!
Our stay was great! We came for a wedding at Toccoa Falls and it was great. We had a large group of 4 families with a wide range of ages and everybody loved it. We loved the country feel complete with cows but also the convenience to the places we wanted to go! We’re planning on coming back for one of the festivals and definitely for the fair! Thank you for everything!

House was nice and just right for our family group.
The house was clean and the kitchen had good (but old) supplies. The house is pleasant and the beds were good. We were disappointed in the local area (not a mountain in sight) and was located at least 10 miles from anything. Helen was very disappointing as I expected hand-crafted items, pottery, etc. All I saw was over-priced t-shirts and imported tourist items. We did go into Commerce for the Tanger outlets but is about 40 miles of traveling. We always enjoy our family togetherness and spent most of the time inside in the A/C.

Big house, Quiet and Comfortable
We had 5 adults and a baby. No issues putting the baby on the floor. The location was for a wedding in the area. House was just what we needed to keep family together and have room to our selves. We would go again. Also the driveway was gated with a code, gave us an added level of security.

Great location and good for groups
We had a very good experience at the Ivester House. We had 4 families, and there was a room and bath for each couple. The teens had plenty of room in the game room, including their own bath. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and had ample dishes for large groups. We utilized the abundance of outdoor space for throwing cornhole, playing bocce, and just visiting and enjoying the lovely weather.

Perfect for our family vacation.
We loved our fam vacay! The owners clearly care about their property. The house felt very cozy, even though all the spaces were spacious enough for all our needs. The gardener greeted us with fresh Swiss chard and lettuce. Everything was in working condition, well stocked and clean. Our group ranged from 2 to 70, and we chose activities which suited everyone. The touristy town of Helen had a great playground, a covered eating area to picnic, loads of restaurants, ice cream shops, and shopping all styled in Austrian architecture. There was also the lake in Helen where one could go tubing…a 1-2 hr ride down the river. The kids went to "gem" shop in Helen and came home with a bag of gems (rocks). The Tallulah gorge was breathtaking and accommodated our many hiking skill levels. We found a splash pad and playground for the kids in the town of Gainesville, which was not crowded, and very clean ($2 dollars per child). There was a mile nature walk around the splash-playground area where we found wild blackberries and red raspberries, mulberry trees galore, and painted activities like hopscotch along the path. . The owner told us there is a path around their farm on which we were allowed to walk. We only made it a short distance with the kids. They collected rocks on the pathway and then came home and sorted-cleaned them. We allowed each of our 4 grandchildren to keep 2 of their favorites. The next day we returned the additional rocks to where they found them…they loved the activity and kept them busy and happy. We played family games on the airy and gracious outdoor covered porch (it wraps around the property, so there is always a shady spot) and took advantage of the late summer sunset. There are private porches off the upstairs bedrooms (in addition to the main floor wraparound porch) so a few of the parents left the action for quiet time while we grandparents enjoyed the young ones. Ingels is a fully stocked large supermarket, with many prepared specialties. There are outdoor seating restaurants in Clarkesville. Momma Dars looks like a shack, but made some of the best pizza we have tasted. This was a wonderful post Covid private space where we could relax, and hug to our hearts content. Only one comment on packing…it might make sense to pack outdoor folding chairs. There are 7 on the main deck, and so if you fill the house…the full group will need outdoor seating. Many thanks to the property owners…we loved our stay!

Golf outing and wine tour
We had 2 groups: 4 went on wine tour and had dinner at Lake Burton Inn. 6 played golf and grilled steaks. Took a short walk through the farm and enjoyed talking to one of the workers. House was perfect for both groups, and very convenient to the courses and wineries. Great time and highly recommend the house for large groups.

Pleasant few days
My family gathered here, 4 families- children and grandchildren for a few days together. The house was nice with plenty of room. It was clean and lovely. Several of our grandchildren are boys so the farm was a great place to let them walk and run. The only drawback we found was the kitchen - we cooked every meal and the kitchen was not as stocked with pots and pans for cooking as we had thought. We managed but was a little disappointed. I should have asked more questions and not assumed. Overall a nice few days.

Mother daughter trip
Our first time at a farm, have stayed many times in a cabin, but this was unique! Girls loved exploring the property and good photo ops by the cute "wishing well" and climbing tree. 115 acres with a beautiful view of mountains, enjoyed walking the gravel paths past the cows and chicken coup. Had a lot of fun playing games on the large dining table and cooking in the kitchen with ample cooking supplies/spices. Great set-up of the bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Another table under the pergola area would have made the outdoor covered space more useful and a ceiling fan over the existing outdoor table would keep the flies/insects away better and provide more breeze. As city girls, we were rudely awakened before our alarm the first morning by the basement mouse. Needless to stay no one slept in that room the 2nd night and we didn't tell the girls or else it would have been a 1 night rather than 2 night stay! The mouse trap is clearly not working so an exterminator/professional needs to be called.

Nice Little Getaway
Nice property, but if you know you are having guests at the property. Last minute cleaning is not ideal, home was dusty. Even though, we wiped everything down, sprayed Lysol and used Clorox. I suggest to pressure wash the porch for cleanliness and add a ceiling fan to the back porch as well.
