Pleasantly surprised!

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel. We were in town due to a family member being hospitalized. The proximity of the hotel to the hospital was perfect. Highly recommend it if you find yourself in similar circumstances. The only negative is the mattress is pretty firm for my liking, but my boyfriend found it comfortable, so not really a negative, more personal preference.

OK but not up to reviews

Our stay was not up to reviews we read. The traffic pattern coming from I-77 had you driving into oncoming traffic headlights with poor lane markings, The parking lot entrance was small (for our F550) and the area felt very City. Breakfast was limited and the staff was less than attentive to guests. Not a bad stay, just not what we are used to as frequent business travellers. Looking ahead we'll pay a few more $$ for the better stay.

Room was reasonably clean, although there was a spiderweb in the corner of the ceiling and an oily smudge on the bedside table. The woman at check-in was very nice. Breakfast was bare minimum. Coffee was terrible.

I was informed by locals that this property was in poor shape but a significant effort was made to improve it by the new owner. The room was very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. I did not like the fact that I had to push the door shut with my shoulder in order to engage the lock at night. Ventilation definitely needs an upgrade. Someone was smoking a cigar in another room but the fumes came into our room at 0500 in the morning and we had no way of venting the fumes out so we left early.

My family and my self loved the quietness of the area although it is a little dark throughout the night besides that everything was great and the room’s as well as it seems that it has recently gone through remodeling.

It was not clean and the area is very loud especially for bottom floor. 3:00 am water dripped from the ceiling on my wife’s head and we were gone by 3:30. I asked for a refund and have not heard anything yet. Shania was very nice and sympathetic on the desk but she said she could not issue refunds. Will wait a couple of weeks for contact
