The Evergreen! Historic Cabin

Rock Climbers, this cabin is located six miles North of the New River Gorge climbing area, six miles South of the Meadow River climbing area and twelve miles from the Summersville Lake climbing area. The cabin itself is less than a half mile from the intersection of Rt. 19 and Rt. 60.
The Evergreen is an 1800 square foot cozy, inviting, traditional cabin with built- in Chestnut cupboards and mantle. Both front and back porches offer comfortable seating, privacy and views of the 70 acre property. The cabin located on the 70 acre property is within 12 miles of most activities offered in the New River Gorge Area including whitewater rafting, mountain biking and climbing, zip lining, fishing, canoeing, hiking in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve (six miles to the visitors center on Rt 19) and State Parks, swimming and boating at Summersville Lake.
Fayetteville's excellent dining options are just 8 miles South of the cabin, the town offers several antique shops and boutiques for shopping after your adventurous day on the water or mountain.

Wonderful Weekend
We enjoyed our stay at the Evergreen Cabin very much. Brenda did a wonderful job hosting us, and was excellent with communication. We stayed at the cabin with our son, daughter-in-law, and 17 month old grandson. Everything worked out great for everyone. The cabin was very clean. We spent lots of time relaxing in all the outdoor spaces. Our grandson enjoyed exploring the whole property. The cabin worked out well as a base for hiking and visiting the region. Brenda, thanks again for a relaxing, fun weekend.

Perfect location!
This cute house was less than 10 minutes away from our rafting trip (at Adventures on the Gorge), close to town, and close to State Parks and lots of hiking. The house had a great outdoor area with a large grill, a fire pit, and a hot tub. The property is beautiful. Perfect place to stay!

Lovely little cabin in a great location near the park and Fayetteville. Cabin is as advertised- fire pit and hot tub were great (and thanks for the firewood!). Great for our toddler too- relatively few things to break, and only a couple stairs to get in and out of cabin. Would recommend for a family!

Exploring the New River Gorge
We had a wonderful stay at the Evergreen! This cabin is in a great location- close to Fayetteville, hiking trails, the Bridge Walk and the New River Gorge. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hot tub at the cabin was a real treat after a day of exploring.

The Evergreen is an amazing place! Beautiful cabin with a great location! Don’t hesitate to book your trip here! Go explore the area attractions all day and come back to this peaceful, quiet cabin to relax in the hot tub. As stated in the other reviews, this place is clean! I mean spotless! This property made us feel like we were pulling up to a hallmark movie. The cabin is very quaint and cozy. Brenda has done an exceptional job at making it feel like home. The view from the covered back porch was where we spent most of our evenings and mornings enjoying our coffee. Will definitely recommend this cabin and already planning our next trip back to the area as it is very close to all the amenities we wanted to indulge while there.

The Evergreen was very quaint and was in a central location for all of our sight-seeing. The views from the back porch were beautiful, and the hot tub was perfect for soothing tired muscles after all the hiking we did. Brenda was very nice and immediately responded to all of our questions.

Fun at the Evergreen!
This was the second trip to the Evergreen for my wife and I for her birthday. The Evergreen is the perfect cabin for us. It’s quiet and secluded. Very clean. Very relaxing. It was the perfect cozy and quiet place for us to come back to after the Bridge Day fun. And the best part was the hot tub on the back deck. It was the best way to relax and look at the trees changing to their beautiful fall colors. We can’t wait to come back!

When I realized where I was staying and have driven by this beautiful place for 67 years I was blown away. My family has always loved the main house and loved being able to stay there was so much fun. Meeting Brenda was an extra treat. This is close to my family and I took my friends to see all the local sights … the Fall colors were fabulous. If you go to the Mine Exhibit ask for Don for your tour guide, he is great and famous on Brad Paisley’s video ..lol i just wished we had got to use the fire pit but the weather wasn’t going to let that happen Hope to return soon.
