Great place to stay, but an elevator would have been nice for our heavy suitcases. Also, the curtains let basically all sunlight in, so our room was completely bright by 5am and we weren't even facing East. None of us could sleep in when we wanted to. Comfortable, clean, nice room though. Staff was very friendly. Good value for the money. My daughter loved that there were whipped cream and chocolate chips for her waffles.

We loved our stay here. Close to Mt Rushmore so we could see the lighting ceremony with no rush. Hill City is a fun place to stay and this hotel is great.

Camp fire smell from down the road was atrocious. Our clothes smelled of it and we were all stuffed up and coughing the next day. It was even in the halls. Other guests were complaining in the pool and at breakfast. I understand they cant control camp fire smell but apparently this is something that happens often from the neighboring facility or campground ?? No hand soap at the sink..had to get some from shower, no hot water after 7am, and shower wouldn't turn off all the way so tub trickled all night. Very comfortable bed and sheets.

The staff at this property make the whole place. The front desk staff Amanda?? is very accommodating! They greet you and offer any assistance! I do miss coffee in the room but there’s a pot on 24Hr in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were very nice and the area was clean. Plenty of towels were available. I would definitely stay here again!
