My brief one night stay was fine for the reasonable amount paid. The frig did not cool well. I did not see a temperature control. The motel was busy but very quiet. The breakfast was tasty, could have been hotter. Both front desk workers were very nice and efficient.

The Red Roof Inn in Hardeeville is one of my favorites. The rooms are clean and the price is right. I’ll always stay here when I’m in the area.

I asked for a smoking room and was given the option when I booked it for smoking when I got there they said they were sold out of smoking. I would have went somewhere else had I known

I am unsure how this hotel gets rated as well as it is. The clerk was very friendly and polite, and it was fairly inexpensive. That's where the good ends. The rooms smelled bad, very moldy. The floor in the bathroom had obviously been cleaned - at least in the center. The corners were filthy. The bathtub had long hairs of at least 2 different people in it. There were more hairs stuck to the walls. There were many cracks in the walls, that had been painted, not repaired. The beds felt humid probably from not running the AC. The faucet in the bathroom was falling apart and barely working. I would rate this hotel a 2/10.

Pros: Close to the interstate. Decent location. Well lit. I was able to park right outside my room. No pet fee. Least expensive on the list of hotels with 7+ guest ratings. Cons: It was so dirty. I would not stay here again. We arrived with our large dog to stay one night as we were evacuating from FL. Thankfully, all we needed was a place to sleep as we were passing though. To start, I took my dog out to the grassy area to do his business and there was some kind of oil or something that got all over him. I didn’t realize until we got in the room and it smelled SO bad. I took him outside and tried to get it off him. When we got back inside, I grabbed some paper towels to clean up what he had tracked in. The paper towel was black after wiping up just a small footprint, and it was not just the oil. That floor was filthy! It was so gross. I made sure not to walk around barefoot. The tub had specks of black dirt in it and it didn’t drain properly so you had to stand in it. It was the fastest shower I ever took. The room was humid, even with the A/C on. It was late so we just dealt with it and got out of there before 6am the next morning. It did its job of giving us a place to sleep for the night. We felt safe. But I would never stay there again.

The front desk was efficient and helpful. The room was less than ideal - the air conditioner appeared to have mold on the fins of the air comes out, the bathroom ceiling was speckled with black, making me think it was mold, the toilet was not properly secured and wobbled. One of the lights by the bed had gunk encrusting the switch area.

There was no power at the hotel due to hurricane Helene. We understand that. But they could have offered us to stay without power. Instead, they wouldn’t allow any accommodations. We had to travel 30 miles to find a room. Expedia needs to give us a refund. The staff was not polite. They waived us off before we even got in the door and said they wouldn’t offer any help finding accommodation. They could have offered suggestions where to seek alternatives. It was a poor experience.
