Survived Hurricane Helene
I have never been to the East Coast beach before after living my whole life in Washington State. My sister and friend flew down so we could check out the historic sites and see the beach. Easy access to the beach. Two restaurants on site. This place is perfect! Even after Hurricane Helene.

Hidden gem of a stay
Great stay and amazing value for December. Older property showing some signs of wear, but nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel on the beach. Location can’t be beat and lots of bars and restaurants close by. Would return again and again.

It’s definitely dated and not like the pictures portrayed in the advertisement. There is no 24 hour gym on site. You have to drive to a gym five minutes that closes at 10 PM. The window facing the beach is filthy and the toilet is hardly flushed. That being said it’s not as bad as some places I’ve seen it is a solid three.

Great property right on the beach! Tiki bar was fun, restaurant on site was not great. I would recommend eating elsewhere. But overall the hotel was great and within walking distance to many bars and restaurants.

Location was the best part of this property. It was clean and just about everything else good except the bed which was very soft and spongy and the pillows which all 4 on the king bed were exactly the same. To high and big in my opinion. Most other hotels/motels have multiple pillows which are different so the guest can choose one to his or her liking. Also we ate at the restaurant (The Porch) and the food for breakfast was terrible for the price we paid.

Perfect romantic overnight stay for my husband's birthday! The hotel is beautifully nautically decorated and appointed with delightful amenities and great, eclectic touches to delight guests!

We came for the lantern parade, and it was perfect. The staff is exceptional, and the property is gorgeous. It was so busy in the tiki/beach area because of the parade, but the bartenders were patient and upbeat. They have music in the tiki area all day. The only thing I didn't love was our room location. We faced the parking lot so we either had to keep the curtains closed or only get dressed in the bathroom. I know, not a real problem lol. I'll definitely reserve a room facing the beach next time, the view is beautiful. We didn't eat there, but we heard the food was good.
