Accommodation In Cotai
Cotai in Macau is just the place for a little fun and indulgence. China’s other Special Administration Zone alongside Hong Kong has long been a gambling haven but the Cotai Strip has propelled Macau into the forefront of worldwide casino destinations, not least because it is home to the biggest casino in the world; The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. The great thing about our Cotai hotels is that they not only put you right among the newest casinos but are an easy commute away from other Macau attractions as well.
The Strip here is only similar to Las Vegas in name. It is actually a reclaimed section (strip) of land, and what’s a better symbol of excess than a man-made island to make room for a crowded city’s thriving gambling scene? That was Cotai’s purpose, and it also connected the islands of Taipa (north) and Coloane (south), making these areas of Macau more accessible.
Entertainment is the name of the game here. Live music and a meal can be found at short notice at Hard Rock Macau, which is part of the City of Dreams complex. Galaxy Cotai on the northwest corner of The Strip dishes out a spa, cinema and rooftop wave pool alongside its gambling floor. There is even a beautiful golf course at Caesars Golf Macau, but while each venue has its merits, you have to visit The Venetian at least once to see how high the bar has been set – our bet is you will hang around for a while!
In addition to The Venetian’s gigantic, themed casino, there are interior canals, gondolas and facades inspired by Venice. If you travel to Macau to shop, The Venetian is also the site of the city’s largest mall! To top it all off, The Venetian has the CotaiArena; a 15,000 seat show facility that has already hosted premier events such as a Manny Pacquiao boxing match and a Justin Bieber concert. Make sure you check what’s on before you arrive.
When you’ve had enough of the glitzy side of Macau, you won’t have to go far to find something completely different. Go south to Coloane for hiking, golf or beaches! For some authentic cultural and historic Macau attractions, there is no substitute for the Macau Peninsula to the north.
There’s never a bad time to travel to this city, which seems to be changing by the day. Book from our list of flights to Macau and Cotai hotels and you’ll see it is a destination to rival its counterparts across the globe.
