Nestled in the peaceful bushland on Hobart’s eastern shore, our “Seaview Possum” House is the largest of our accommodations, featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious rumpus room. It’s perfect for families, groups, or anyone seeking a serene escape.
Set on 150 acres of natural bushland, Mt Rumney Escapes combines privacy, wildlife, and stunning scenery. Here, you’ll find six unique tourist houses, each with its own charm. The Seaview Possum House is our largest, sleeping up to 10 guests. Other options range from cozy 2-bedroom retreats to larger accommodations perfect for groups, events, or sports teams, with the capacity to host up to 43 guests across all houses.
Please note: Accessing our property involves a short gravel road that leads you to this hidden gem in the hills of Mt Rumney. Directions are provided, and self-check-in is available for your convenience.
Wake up to the crispest air and panoramic views of Hobart, Seven Mile Beach, and the surrounding mountains. You may even catch the Aurora Australis lighting up the sky or gaze at the Milky Way on clear nights. Our eco-friendly property is entirely off the grid, powered by harvested water and sustainable energy systems.
