Great place to relax in quiet location
We spent 2 nights here. Location in countryside, on edge of a small village, means it is very quiet and there are opportunities for walking. Good open air restaurant with lovely views. Easy to get to Bamberg by car. Owners are friendly and accommodating - moved us to a better room as ours wasn't ready on arrival.

More then perfect
This was one of the best vacation I had in the past years. So perfect, I canceled Dubai and decided to extend my vacation in Germany. If you look for a place to relax, this is the perfect place. And on top, the food is outstanding and personnel very friendly. Five stars in every category. I sure will be back in December for a Family vacation. Thank you Fam. Grimmer and team.

Great Little Guest House
This place looked like it had been a hunting cabin, or something similar. You might get lucky, when I was there, there was a wedding reception going on! It is a great place to take a family for a couple of days, with a swimming pond, and fishing area, a good place to relax. The TV was very tiny, and there were only a few channels, on the otherhand, you go to this place for the experience, not to watch TV. The food was fabulous, and they serve locally caught fish for a reasonable price. The menu was extensive. They had something for everyone. It's a 30 min. drive from Bamberg, the little village seems to attract a lot of musical talent. The host and all the employees were very accomodating, I had to leave at 5:00 a.m., and they packed me a breakfast the night before. Breakfast everyday was substantial, as well. If you want to get away from the typical tourist-trap, this is the place to get a genuine 'German' tourist experience. Some of the staff speak English. Since this place is remote, I don't know if there is any public transportation. I had a rental car.

Ich bin aus beruflichen GrĆ¼nden regelmƤƟig im Alten Kurhaus. Es ist ein familiengefĆ¼hrtes kleines, persƶnliches Hotel, das ich sehr empfehlen kann. Die Rezeption ist nicht an allen Tagen ganztƤgig besetzt. Der Check-In funktioniert aber trotzdem super. Die Zimmerkarten werden hinterlegt. Die Zimmer haben eine gute GrĆ¶ĆŸe, viele Zimmer haben Balkon mit schƶnem Ausblick auf Garten oder die Teiche direkt neben dem Hotel. Die Zimmer inkl. Bad sind sehr sauber. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Auswahl am FrĆ¼hstĆ¼cksbuffet ist ausreichend, mit vielen frischen Produkten. Preis/Leistung vƶllig in Ordnung. WLAN ist je nach Lage des Zimmers gut bis etwas schwach. ParkplƤtze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Viele nette Kleinigkeiten, Skulpturen etc. sowie viele Sitzgelegenheiten im AuƟenbereich machen es gemĆ¼tlich. Es ist eine Gartensauna vorhanden (5 ā‚¬), die man jederzeit nach Anmeldung nutzen kann. Direkt vorm Hotel gibt es einen kleinen Schwimmteich. Die Umgebung ist ausgesprochen ruhig. Man hƶrt abends und morgens nur Vƶgel und Frƶsche. Kein StraƟenlƤrm zu hƶren. Direkt vom Hotel aus kann man zu Wanderungen/SpaziergƤngen aufbrechen. Mit dem Auto sind es nach Bamberg ca. 15 Min. Ich werde auch in Zukunft noch hƤufig dort absteigen.

Das Hotel ist aussen sehr liebevoll hergerichtet. Der Speisesaal und die renovierten Abschnitte sind farblich sehr dekorativ und alles ist aufeinander abgestimmt. Es scheint eine Zusammenarbeit mit einer Malerin zu geben, deren Werke im gesamten Hotel zu finden und kƤuflich sind. Das gibt dem Hotel eine zusƤtzliche AtmosphƤre. Auch das Thema Fisch zieht sich durch und gibt Struktur. Hinter dem Hotel sind Fischteiche, wo auch ein Fischotter wohnt.

Een prachtige locatie, lichte schone kamer, heel goed bed, uitgebreid ontbijt, hond was welkom. Receptie na 12.00u gesloten, inchecken doe je dan zelf, kamerkaartje op naam staat klaar op de balie. Op dinsdag en woensdag restaurant gesloten, dus voor diner moet je dan ergens in de omgeving terecht. Koelkast met frisdrank is dan wel beschikbaar voor gasten, maar helaas geen koffie.

Bereits das zweite Mal, habe ich in diesem Hotel eingecheckt und war wieder sehr zufrieden. Preis/Leistung echt unschlagbar. Wenige Kilometer von Bamberg entfernt - perfekt auch fĆ¼r Kurzurlaub. Vor Ort ein Badesee - der auch nicht Ć¼berlaufen ist.
