Good price for a great stay.
The hotel was a bit worn but extremely clean. Our room was spacious. Halls were quiet. Breakfast was very nice with food being refilled as needed. Cost was a big factor in our stay. We felt we had great value for the cost. We travel to the Holland area often. We will mot hesitate to stay hete again.

It was hard to see the sign when we tried to find the location on the street. Property needs a few upgrades. No towel bars to hang up the towels when you got done using them.

Grand Times at the Terrace Inn
We really enjoyed the Terrace Inn and visiting with the guests as well as Andrea, Jill, Goodie, and the manager whom I forgot her name as well as the owner. Gross rooms with lackluster comfort
It took us 3 rooms to get a room that was somewhat clean enough to sleep in. The first 2 rooms had what appeared to be "lovemaking" stains on the bed and/or couch in addition to a large wine or blood stain on the couch in the first room. The bathroom in all 3 rooms had what appeared to be red wine splashes and/or mold spots on the walls. All of the bathrooms needed some general maintenance. In the 3rd room that was not too gross to sleep in, the bathroom faucet water pressure was also pencil thin. We also had to settle for a room with 2 smaller beds instead of the king bed that we booked. After 2 nights of bad sleep due to the uncomfortable beds, we opted to check out a day early at our own expense.

On our trip to Mackinaw City, we returned to Holland, MI, and chose this place because it seemed like a good option. Fortunately, my wife always likes to bring her own sheets and blankets when we go on trips. We noticed that the blankets were dirty, with a red stain—blood, ketchup, or juice. We didn’t investigate further because we didn’t use them. There was also a large red stain on the carpet. The place was relatively clean overall, but we noticed a musty smell when we arrived in the room. This might be due to the bathroom fan not working, and possibly the air conditioning needing service. However, overall, the experience wasn’t too bad. The welcome was pleasant from Cierra, and the people serving breakfast were very friendly. The young man had a strong cigarette smell, but he was very kind. The Hispanic woman was also very friendly. Overall, we were satisfied—the breakfast made up for the issues in the room.

We did have some problems with our room. There was a considerable amount of mold in the shower that we requested twice to have taken care of. There was a light fixture above the area by the coffee pot where a large bulb was burned out. The coffee pot was not functional because the plastic tray and pods that were meant for it were too small and you could not slide them in w/out risk of them falling into your coffee when you were brewing it. When we asked for another coffee maker we were told they didn't have any more. We checked in at the front desk at around midnight which would have technically been Saturday the 11th. I called the front desk to let them know that we probably would not arrive until midnight and the man said he would make a note of it. When we arrived, after a long drive, there was no one at the check in counter. We waited around 15 minutes, even calling to see if we could find someone. Finally I went looking for someone and found the man down one of the hallways. I said we were here to check in. He seemed very put out by our arrival. Gave us no information about where to park, so we had to figure that one out in the dark around 12:30 am. A very frustrating check in experience. When we left the hotel the next day, the lady at the check in desk was just lovely and helped us navigate where we needed to go. The hotel did try to be responsive about the mold issue and offered us to move into the room next door, but it was too late into our stay.

Good locale. Clean room, even if some outdated. The bed, ooh.. not good. Suuper hard, lumpy. TV was plugged into an open/no cover outlet. Coffee maker, same, wires showing.
