Nice Hotel.
Very friendly staff and room was as it said small but well equipped and very warm. We ate in the restaurant which was our only disappointment having to chose at least 4 times as when the young waiter who attended to us extremely well went to the kitchen it had run out. The food we ate was good but not what we wanted. They did offer free sweets to try and compensate. Breakfast was however excellent and overall a nice hotel.

Cosy warm, clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent dining and bar facilities. Lovely food and helpful staff. Easy parking. Centre of town so easy walking and surrounded by some excellent Yorkshire countryside for anyone wanting wonderful scenic views and a good ramble.

Nice hotel, bit overlooked at the back
All staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent (we didn’t eat any other meals there). Tea/coffee/biscuits in the room were really good quality and in plentiful supply. Good quality toiletries. My only complaint would be that the duvets were too warm, which meant I couldn't sleep, despite the window being open quite a way. We had an early morning wake up on day 1, thanks to the bin men who turned up at 6.30am 😒. Our room was at the back of the hotel, and our view was work premises and a bar.

Excellent location .reception , bar and restaurant areas excellent . Staff excellent . Rooms are tired and need updated , very noisy floors , people moving around in room above until early hours meant little sleep for us . cobwebs around curtains and bathroom could have been cleaner .

Room small but adequate. Shower tiny , about 2 foot square. No room to turn, shower head almost touching your face. I'm average size and could only just get through gap in shower doors.

We had a fantastic stay for a birthday treat. Breakfast & Sunday lunch was lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Very welcoming and hospitable hotel with a fantastic location and free parking.

We came by public transport ( pensioners bus pass ). Hotel is right behind the bus station. Staff were very welcoming . We sat straight down and enjoyed a three course sunday lunch. The hotel is convenient for town centre. Room had everything we needed for our comfortable overnight stay.

Brilliant location
Very handy location and all staff in the hotel very friendly and informative. Room quite compact but had all you needed. Very lovely and stylish upmarket toiletries to use. Housekeeping had left a charming note wishing the person staying a pleasant stay. Only slightly displeasing thing was no milk on the tea/coffee tray. This did detract from a very delightful stay though.
