After decades of government overspending and misappropriations, this recently defunded and declassified facility has been made available for your next adventure. Hangar 18 is a little-known nondescript building nestled in the quiet streets of downtown historic Hurricane UT and home to a few of our national secret spoofs! Come create memories with the family and have fun with the conspiracy spoofs throughout the project.

Escape Properties are here as a tool during your stay, but we try to stay out of your way as you enjoy your vacation. If you need us we are here!

Located in historic downtown Hurricane UT (about 20 min. from Zion National Park main entrance). Minutes to Quail Lake or Sand Hollow Lake. Close to restaurants, grocery stores and antique shops.

You will have access to the entire home and common areas.

Pool and Pool Area: This amenity consists of a play pool with a volleyball net, a shaded shamu shelf wading area as well as a large hot tub. The pool is common space area and is enclosed in a private fenced area with locking gates. DO NOT PROP gate doors open at any time.

NOTE: The hot tub is accessible year-round and is easy to heat. The pool is heated for Presidents Day weekend through spring break as well as the month of October as well as the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New year holidays. IF you rent the entire micro resort, the pool can be heated for an additional fee. We do not heat the pool in the summer months.

Parking: There is plenty of room for 3 cars wide and 2 cars deep if needed in front of Hangar 18 as well as one space for a boat/ATV trailer. The city does not allow guests to park on the street.

This converted steel building has been transformed into an amazing family fun themed spoof on the 1950's alien conspiracy (think Men in Black and bring your tin foil hats). Kids of all ages will enjoy a photo op with Ned and Blart, our two detained friends from the Galaxy next door, and take a tour of their classic Illudium PU 38 powered moon hopper spacecraft. Feel free to engage in a nerf gun war through the secret ventilation shafts and build up a static charge sliding down the big indoor slide or playing for high-score on the classic Atari video game of "Space Invaders".

Inside the real UFO replica enjoy your hand at xBox's flight simulator or one of many other games (game pass) on the bridge - buckle in, we do expect turbulence!

Hangar 18 is part of the micro-resort known as Area 51. Area 51 comprises of 4 individual nightly rental units and share an amazing fun pool area with massive hot tub and pool with a shamu shelf splash area as well as volleyball and swim area. You can rent one unit for a quick escape or all four for that amazing family reunion. Located in the historic downtown area of Hurricane 30 Min from Zion National Park, 10 min. to Sand Hollow/Quail State Parks and Sand Dunes as well as 20 min. to St George.

Hangar 18 is a 5 bedroom, 5 bath facility that sleeps 14 in beds. It boasts a full-service kitchen with ample dining space inside and out for your gatherings. The patio is ensconced under a rough sawn timber pergola with Eddison patio lighting and outdoor grill and conversation space to enjoy evening overlooking the pool.

There is room for two more guest to sleep on the sectional sofa, but bedding is not provided. We do have a port-a-crib in the unit.

PETS: This home is pet friendly so the whole family can tag along for the vacation!
Bringing a pet, you will be subject to a one time $45 fee per pet.
Please notify us of the number, breed and weight of any pets you will be bringing. (all animals must be under 50 pounds)
We ask that you do not allow your pets onto the furniture.
We do provide lint rollers at the home for your use to assist us in removal of pet hair from furniture and bedding.
While it is impossible to remove all signs of pet hair, our cleaners do thoroughly clean the entire home including bedding and furniture.

Fun home base for our Zion hiking trip
This property was as cool as the photos. What a unique experience. It was close to a grocery store and restaurants and less than a half hour a way from Zion. The kids loved climbing around the tubes and slides. The hot tub was very nice after hiking. We had one small issue with the pool gate lock not working but the host answered right away and helped with a solution. Would highly recommend.

Mastermind design and unique stay
We’ve stayed in VRBO‘s all over the country. This one was easily the most unique and well thought out by far. so many thoughtful details. And I always know it’s a good one if they’ve labeled. Their lights and inside their cabinets. silly but true. The spaceship is amazing and super sturdy and solid. Bunks were perfection and they were lots of Nerf gun wars. Such a fun idea. Bottom of line, we loved our alien stay.

From the first seconds we came through the door the kids (4 kids, ages 5-12) went nuts! They had so much fun (and they were able to occupy themselves —albeit not super quietly!) the whole time we were there. The pool and hot tub were great too! And nicer than the pics made it seem. For the adults, the seating / eating options were comfortable and flexible which made for great socializing. A great place to hang out. We went to Zion National Park every day we stayed there and it’s a pretty short drive, conveniently located.

Very clever sci-fi themed rental. Perfect space for three families. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor space, and even the teens found themselves climbing thru the upper loft and sliding down the slide. Owner was very friendly and responsive. We are telling all our friends about Hangar 18!

Cool location and unique and cool property
This is a 100% unique space that will have you and your crew smiling from the jump. We made it our base of operations for visits to Zion National park, Bryce Canyon NP, Snow Canyon State Park and other area attractions and it was a convenient location for them and not far from our flights into Vegas. The design is really incredible and a kids paradise with the tunnels, nerf guns and video game room. And we all appreciated the roominess, 5 bedrooms and mega TV in the "Great Hall." As unique as the property is, it's not impeccable. The dining room table was damaged, the kitchen was not put together with the same care and craftsmanship as the alien spaceship bunkhouse (dishwasher and oven interfere, ice maker didn't work, old pan needing replacement) and the hot tub isn't available 24*7 but requires communication to owner and wait for heating. Total first world problems I know. My point is this is a super fun place at a relatively high price point but it's not a super luxury option, so eyes wide open and you'll have a great time here.

Grandkids and kids loved it. Everyone had a great time. Young ones didn’t want to leave to go to the national park. Even adults got into the action with nerf gun wars, alien invasions etc. Plenty of space for large group. Would definitely recommend for family and friends trip with kids of all ages. We will surely be back.

My family and friends loved hanger 18. We would love to spend another vacation there. It was pet friendly, had good amenities, great location, and private. The only thing that I would like to see is the hot tub a little hotter. Then this hidden gem would be the best place ever to call home for a couple days.

House is nice and lots of room really fun for the kids It wasn’t clean it was dog and cat hair everywhere we are allergic to cats so wasn’t fun for us. If you are going to let people bring pets in to the house a least make sure is clean before renting it out we paid our cleaning fee but the house wasn’t clean for us I think it’s not fair

Amazing Stay
What a wonderful home! Besides the obvious cool factor (that my kids lost their minds over!), the house was extremely organized, clean, and well equipped. Probably the best house we've ever rented. We stayed 2 nights, but everyone would have loved to stay longer. The pool and hot tub were lovely, along with the grill and patio. I can't think of anything I'd add to make it better.

It was fun for kids and comfortable beds for adults. The rooms are great, it could use some more kid friendly cups and bowls, a good carpet cleaning, and the hot tub drains every time it fills. They did come fill it for us when we arrived and it was empty, but it quickly drained again as soon as it got full. We enjoyed our stay and there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy family time. We would stay here again. We loved having a bathroom with each bedroom!

Unique Experience
The place was so much fun for us! My teens loved it! Adult children had a blast! Overall it was a great trip. Pros: lots of space to spread out, plenty of seating, bathroom in each room, many fun things to look at inside! Lots of pots and pans for cooking. Cons: no grass for dogs to potty on, my small dogs could walk right through the slats of the fence. The deck at the pool gets REALLY HOT! Wear your sandals.

Fantastic idea for a house theme! Kids will not be disappointed! Very clean interior of the house and amenities were as described. Outside patio needed some extra attention, especially after having pet visitors that left some "leftovers." May have just been missed by the previous guest or cleaning crew. After 3 days of several calls/messages to the property manager, the pool/hot tub issues were resolved. A bit frustrating given the time it took to get anyone to listen, but it was resolved eventually. Would definitely stay again!

Fun for the kids
No need to go anywhere else, the kids will have endless fun at Hangar 18. Tunnels, a 2 story slide, nerf guns, arcade game, and an Xbox will keep them busy inside with a hot tub and pool that are both heated outside. We stayed with another family who also has kids and everyone had a blast. This place was well done and newly remodeled into this amazing fun house. 3 master bedrooms with bathrooms and 2 bunk rooms also both with bathrooms. It can house numerous families easily. The kitchen was well stocked. The house had plenty of towels for the pool and for showers. Everything was new and nice so no complaints regarding quality. Our only wish was that the 3 master bedrooms had dressers. There was no were to unpack or place clothes so we lived out of our suitcase. This is doable but always nicer to be able to unpack the suitcase. The pool and hot tub are super nice! They are shared between the other units but we never bumped into any other renters while we were using either. The only other thing to mention is that while animals are allowed at this location it is not easy to have a pet at Hangar 18. There is no grass on the property and the dog park is over a mile away. Having to walk a dog numerous times a days was not what we expected. I think our dog enjoyed this aspect of numerous and regular daily walks more than we did :). Overall, super fun and worth the price. Glad we chose Hangar 18 for our spring break adventure!
