Comfortable and quiet.
Went up to sew with a friend for 3 nights. Plenty of comfortable space. WiFi was great. Close enough to town for meals, but had a well appointed kitchen for cooking and a nice deck outside to enjoy the fresh air and trees. Weather was a little warm, but house stayed cool until late afternoon. Fans were provided, which was thoughtful. Will Definitely go back again!

Our Stay
Property was well equipped - kitchen & bathrooms. However TV did not work during our 3day stay. Contacted to resolve daily but only received apologies. Also had a bat attack in the evening that disappeared into a hole at the top of the kitchen cabinet.

False claims of A/C on
Having known there was no air conditioning, we wouldn’t have booked. The overview description on VRBO indicates there is air conditioning, THERE IS NOT! Weekend was 90+ temps so would have been nice. Also, no hair dryer as listed. Other than that mixup, we enjoyed our time.

Great Comfy Place
Our stay was great but it did have some flaws. I will start with the bad first and end with the good. Drive way is not great for an accessible vehicle or any low vehicle as the bump to get in does scratch the bottom. When we first got there, the cabin was really warm and we turned on the fan but it didn't cool it at all. We later found out that the filter for the fan was clogged and dirty and no air flow was going through. Once we removed it, the fan worked great. The good is that the cabin is beautiful and clean. Close to the town, quiet, relaxing, deck was awesome with great shade, doorways were big enough to fit the wheelchair. Bedrooms were amazing and beds were comfortable except for the 1st night when it was hot. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. Great time, great location and great place.

Very good
We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 8). We liked the house, and the kids too. The house is very clean, in every rooms. The kitchen has everything: oil, sugar, salt and pepper of course, coffee filter, etc... Both bathrooms have travel size shampoo-conditionner-soap. The location is good, a 5 min drive from downtown Idyllwild. The nights were very peaceful and quiet. We recommand it.

Could be cleaner.
Need a new picnic table. There were dead flies in the windowsills. There were goldfish crackers under couch and coffee table. Also spiders in the tub. The grill needs a deep cleaning. But is a peaceful and serene and close to town.

Great house located in the heart of Idyllwild with a view of the surrounding peak. We could not have asked for a better stay in this quaint little town. Great clean, comfortable updated house.

Overall house in good condition. Issues were the nest climate control it didn’t work at night.
Nest thermostat didn’t work and no instructions on how to use which is unheard of in a rental. No heat when it did work it only lasted a few minutes then only the fan would work, then you would have to reset thermostat to heat mode. No heat the front bedroom this is unacceptable in 30 degree weather. Wifi didn’t work so I Had to find the router and use default pin located on the bottom of the unit . Pots and pans are old and the Teflon is peeling off need to be replaced . No landline at this property safely issue due to no cell service.

Clean, comfortable but not so cozy.
We arrived at 8pm and there was no heat. We called for assistance and as we waited for a return call my husband and son in law worked on building a fire and getting the "ness heating system" to kick on. It was midnight before we felt warm air coming out and we did not receive a return call. All was well the next day but then at around supper time the wifi went down. Again more calls but no help and so we played games. We were told someone would be there after 9am Sunday morning but as we pulled out at 11am we had not yet seen anyone. It's a shame because everything else about the home was lovely and as promised. There was no notebook of written instruction. I've never stayed at a Home Away without instruction for wifi and heating/air. Online it listed instructions on everything except heat. It was an unfortunate experience.

Gas went OUT!!! FREEZING
Due to apparent poor preparation on the management's behalf, the cabin's propane tank wasn't filled. When we arrived, it was 25 degrees outside. A couple hours after we went to bed, it was clear the heat wasn't working. Luckily, I brought my own firewood or things could have gotten desperate. By morning time, we were popsicles. A maintenance man was on the scene quickly the following morning but only after a horrible frostbitten night. Otherwise, we loved the cabin.

Cozy, private cabin perfect for a relaxing getaway!
The property was clean and very welcoming. Everything was in perfect order when we arrived. WiFi, heat, grill and full kitchen worked wonderfully. Cabin is close to town with ample hiking trails in the surrounding area. We were unable to turn on the air conditioning from the Nest thermostat, but opening windows in the evening helped cool the cabin down. Would absolutely return for another weekend!

Nice property, terrible managers
I would not stay here or any other property Vacasa manages. We arrived in the dark with our young children to find that no one had been to clear the driveway or steps. It had not snowed for a few days. I called the company that evening and they stated someone was suppose to come and they would check. The next morning we woke up to no running water. Called again and told this time that the local person would call us. No one called and I had to find the water main and defrost it myself. Called back that afternoon to be told someone stated they were on their way at 11 and a supervisor would call back. No call back. The steps were completely iced over and the decks covered with snow and ice. Totally unsafe. I would have been happy to clear myself a path but there wasn't even a shovel. On our third night, the propane ran out so we could not cook, heat the house or bathe again. I called Vacasa again around 6pm when this happened and guess what? Very compassionately they stated they would call me back. No one ever called again! They sent me a service survey which I filled and gave them a week to respond before posting here but no answer. Microwave did not wot work at all, home ran out of propane and heat in freezing temps, pipe froze, driveway is very long and never cleared, steps all iced over, trash cans were overflowing when we got there, hair in the tubs. We love VRBO and Idyllwild but companies like VACASA are awful!! Do not stay there

We liked the property overall and it was just what we needed for a getaway.
Overall great stay. A few things to make it even better: 1) it snowed before we arrived and we couldn't get down the driveway because of the ice build up. With two small kids it would have been more ideal to be able to use the driveway. 2) would have liked a few more kitchen items (spices, bowls, oils) 3) the bedroom doors were a little thin (only difficult because of two small kids) Otherwise, would definitely come back!!
