Druim Mor House is a large detached modern house located in the quiet crofting village of Swordale, Isle of Lewis. Stornoway is only 7km away and there is a bus stop almost on the doorstep. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 of which are unusually large and appliances include WiFi, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridges, freezer, 6+ televisions, etc.
Spectacular scenery surrounds this self catering property. You will be mesmerised by the ever-changing light that dances across both land and seascapes. This is an ideal home for groups of friends or large extended families to holiday in. The village is quiet and friendly, whilst the garden is large enough for children to play.
Swordale is located on the Eye Peninsula (Point – An Rubha) which is roughly 11km long. A narrow isthmus, the Braighe is only one mile in length and at one point barely 100 metres wide but it joins Point to the rest of the Isle of Lewis. The rest of the Hebrides is open to you: the Isle of Lewis, Gt.Bernera, the Isles of Harris and Scalpay are all within easy driving distance. The scenery en-route is breathtaking. Just a five-minute drive from the house is a popular cafe, shop, wonderful white sandy beach, museum and the ancient ruin of St.Columba’s, Eye Church. The burial ground of 19 of the Chiefs of the MacLeods of Lewis. Ten minutes to the end of Point takes you to Tiumpan Head, here is one of the best places to spot Whales, Dolphins and Basking Sharks in the UK.
