Very average hotel. It doesnā€™t worth the price. I reserved this hotel for my elderly parents and paid for a sea view room. They gave us an average room on the fifth floor with no specific view. After two days I talked to the manager and insisted on room upgrade. It took me one hour to convince him to upgrade our room to a deluxe room. Deluxe room was better. More spacious with a terrace and view. This is the only reason Iā€™m giving them 2 stars. 1- Rooms are very basic. No tissue box, no iron, no extra toilet rolls, safety box not bolted to the drawer (safety issue), basic design. Cards to open roomā€™s door deactivated every other day. 2- Wifi was not working most of the time. 3- breakfast quality is ok but breakfast area is small and congested. 4- Cleaning ladies were really nice, but once I asked reception how to get to princess island, they gave us a wrong address. It took us one hour to get to the address they gave us and when we got there they told us this is not the right location. We had to come all the way back! You want to trust your hotel reception to get info from! How on earth they donā€™t know how to get to the one of the biggest tourist attractions in Istanbul?! 5- After moving to deluxe room they gave me a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable. 6- I smelled sewage some days in hallways.

This place is not worth the price: 1- They assigned my room to someone else and attempted to make me stay in a lower-level room, claiming I didn't check in at the correct time. However, I had informed them about my late arrival several days prior. 2- I found hair on the bed after checking in. 3- I requested additional towels, but despite promising to bring them twice, they never did. I find this disrespectful. 4- There's construction in the adjacent building which creates significant noise starting at 8am. 5- The air conditioning doesn't work in cool mode.

This is my second time at Dora Pera, its my favorite hotel, very clean, big rooms and comfortable. Very near to the metro station only 5 mins walking, bus station is just in front of the hotel 1 min walking, very near to istiklal street and galata tower, i would recommend for everyone, breakfast very good quality and big variety. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for solo and families travelers.

I was expecting just a functional business stay at Dora Pera, but the hotel exceeded my expectations. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. There were some late party-ers in the room next door, but the noise is what you would expect in this part of Istanbul. Overall, highly recommend!

good location which is very close to the Metro station and Galata Tower. The only downside was that there were very limited tables for breakfast so you had to wait for other people to finish their meals or sit next to other families. It's a very clean and quiet 3-star hotel.

Overbooked and told look for hotel
We have booked a 2 night stay for my 73 year old father, who was checking in at 10 pm. upon check in they told us , first , that the AC is not working in our room and we have to look for a new hotel room. We said we would still take it ,but they lied that there is one available and finally acknowledged they overbooked and we must look for the hotel ourselves , at 10 pm!!!l The receptionists are not helpful, donā€™t care about anything but smoking and chatting, they first promised to pay for hotel next door but upon checking in there they said that the price is too high for them. Very very disappointing experience which this hotel !
