This picture does not depict my experience!
I had to laugh at the photo of the outdoor area on the email because what I experienced was the total opposite of the photo. No cushions, no organization, nothing appealing. I know the hotel is undergoing renovation and the lobby area and most rooms have been updated but the hallway carpet was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. I had reservations for two nights but checked out after one. The area did feel safe and the staff were cordial and helpful, but the areas not renovated were just nasty.

Never Stay at this Hell Hole
The receptionist at the front desk was extremely rude. They didnā€™t have any king bed rooms available (which was the room type we reserved) and the only option was two queen or full size beds whichever it was. We accepted and went to the room which was smelly and extremely hot to the point it took all night to cool off. When I confronted her she said that was all that was available and if we didnā€™t want to stay we could go somewhere else! When I told her that Marriott would not be happy with the conditions of the hotel and the rudeness of the service she stated that they were independently owned and they didnā€™t care! We had been traveling all day and needed our rest so we settled but I was appalled by the level of service this person was giving! Later I came down to see if they may have something for a headache and witnessed this same front desk worker being extremely rude to another customer at which time she canceled his reservation against his will and told him to find another place to stay because he wasnā€™t staying there! This type of behavior is extremely unacceptable and should not be tolerated by ANY business owner much less a corporate franchise such as Marriott! The rooms and the entire hotel wasnā€™t up to par to be a two star hotel such as Motel 6!! These are all facts!!

If you want to feel like you are staying at a CONSTRUCTION SITE then by all means stay here. The pictures are not true to the conditions of the rooms, they are way more outdated. No AC on the floors and dirty and old elevator. Construction debris on the floors and carpet as well as in the room, paint splatters everywhere. Only one lamp as the light in the room, broken TV and Window. Bugs in the shower and ashes on the counter even though it was a non smoking room. We ordered Breakfast and never got any, 25$ in the windā€¦ DO NOT STAY HERE

This is an older Marriot. They are in the process of renovating though. Carpet was worn and stained but everything else was fine. Paid a bit less than I usually do for a Marriott, so it was worth it.

WASTE OF MONEY!
If I could leave ZERO stars I would.. We stayed here one night on our way to Panama City. I booked a room with a king bed and pull out couch. The room was TINY. Seemed like it used to be an extra storage room that they converted to a hotel room. Our room was also HOT.. There was no AC in the hallway or the rooms on the third floor. We called the front desk at around 10 because we were crammed and HOT.. They thankfully moved us to a room on the first floor (but not without an attitude). This hotel should be ashamedā€¦ the pictures on the advertisement are misleading and this hotel is a WASTE of money!

A disappointing stay that could have been better
my grandson and I checked in on a Sunday. The room's carpet had a large stain in the middle of the room & it smelled like mildew. i couldn't get the deadbolt to retract after it popped out so i couldn't close the door. i went downstairs to tell the manager at the desk he offered to change my room. he showed me two more rooms both with large stains on the carpets. He said they are about to do renovations so no carpets are being cleaned. he showed me another room carpet dirty but no large stains i decided to take it since he told me he didn't have time to show me another room and it looked and smelled better than the others. I left & came back later that evening and upon further inspection the room was dirty, only the beds were made, sticky stuff on the night table with cup ring stain, bathtub had ring around it and dirt in tub, dust everywhere. i stayed 3 nights asked for my room to be cleaned everyday it was finally cleaned the day before i checked out. and i only received 1 set of towels when there should have been 2. At checkout I voiced my dissatisfaction to the general manager she apologized and said they were cleaning carpets. I guess the manager, just chose to show me rooms that were in that condition. he was very rude as I spoke to the general manager making smart remarks and rolling his eyes. he was very unprofessional. don't know what i did to get on his bad side but the rest of the front desk/staff were very nice, professional and accommodating.
