Moldy ceiling in room 171 delay with refund
The staff was nice on night crew. I had a late arrival. It was just me. I got checked in the room has modern furniture and decor. I was so tired I took a shower and went straight to bed.
The next morning I get up and go to the bathroom to wash my face and use the toilet. There was a cockroach on the floor. Not that big a deal, I had just spent the week camping. But then I look up and see black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Not okay. I just spent the night breathing that stuff in.
I finish gathering my things and go to the front desk. I went to check out and the day crew person asks how things were. I explained the situation and her immediate response seemed an attempt to blame shift, instead of an apology.
"Did you call the front desk so they could switch your room?"
"No. I just saw it this morning." was my response.
"Well this reservation was through a third party so I don't know if we'll be able to do anything for you."
I called today.(22 Aug 2024) There has been no follow up. I wasn't going to write this review in hopes that they would make it right and give them time to clean up the room, but I doubt that is happening. To be able to say that there was a problem, but they made it right as quickly as they could would have been a much more pleasing thing to write. Unfortunately, that isn't the case this time.
