Amazing Grace - Pet Friendly and Right on the Beach!

THIS GORGEOUS BEACH COTTAGE DUPLEX IS PET-FRIENDLY.

Imagine shrimp on the grill, kids on the beach, and a cold beverage in your hand as you sit on the deck above the dunes. The wide beach invites you to stay all day long.

Amazing Grace is BEACH FRONT. It is not a piano lot, or a view lot between two houses, or in a condominium complex. It is a real BEACH FRONT cottage duplex. Five steps down to the beach or simple sit on a deck just above the dunes.

Do you like to bike or run? There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north to south. The island is 26 miles long, so you can get a good work out.

You can even bike for fun (like I do). Recently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house is not in their city. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant!) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone at DQ just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories, then leisurely rode back to the beach house.

Believe me, this place is fun.

And I haven't even told you about Shuckin' Shak, on the mainland side and it's fresh lightly fried grouper fingers, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Daddy Mac's - a 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the beach. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it.

Or you can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest). Perhaps you would like to deep sea or surf fish...or just lie on the beach. And did we mention riding jet skis on the nearby sound?

It was nicer than the description online and the way it is laid out is wonderful for a family trip. We actually cooked a pig underneath the carport and invited friends and family down for the day on Wednesday. The view was awesome! I took many pictures of beautiful sun rises, sun sets, rainbows, dolphins swimming by and my grandchildren enjoying the beach! The house was in awesome shape and everything in it worked as it should. The owner was awesome - answered all our questions and made us feel like our trip and the enjoyment of it was a priority of his. Our stay was everything we dreamt of! From lying on the master bed with the door open listening to the waves crash snd watch the sun rise to having a direct access to the beach right off the balcony. Absolutely amazing! They had the place very well stocked with lots of extras! Also host was very easy to communicate with and quick to reply.

This is a comfortable home right on the beach. As other reviews have noted, it could use some updating. However we were looking for something affordable on the beach and this place delivered. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and gorgeous views of the ocean from the decks. Would definitely return if this place was closer to home.

We booked amazing Grace for our summer vacation. Great vacation home love the location. Beach right in front house was great beds were comfortable. Anything I needed. Steve was on top of easy communication with him. Definitely recommend staying with any , Home that Steve owns . We will definitely be in touch with him again for future vacation homes in that area. Probably stay at amazing Grace again. Probably one of the best homes we have stayed in and we book a house every year since 2008 somewhere Steve is top-notch definitely give five stars. If there were a 10 star we would give that.

Great location, property needs some attention
House was rated as exceptional which in my opinion is not accurate. Cleanliness was definitely questionable. Some examples: pet hair visible on stairs and on master bed skirt, the stairs had not been vacuumed as several wads of pet hair were removed, sliding door windows facing the beach were not cleaned and were completely covered over with salt and grime. We cleaned ourselves and they stayed pretty clear most of the week, not a chance they were touched before our arrival. Table tops were also pretty dusty. Shower curtain rings in both baths were rusty and the rust has stained the shower curtains. Overall the house needs some attention…walls are scarred, marked up, and just dirty. One of the sliding glass doors didn’t have a working lock and towel rods were loose and coming off the walls. While we did find them dead in the house we did notice some bug activity as well. Owner was attentive and communicative in assisting with an AC issue but sent a text to let us know a maintenance person was coming. We were on the beach, did not have our phone, and did not acknowledge or see the text. The maintenance man ended up on our back porch unannounced to us and made for a very uncomfortable situation. To end with some positives the location is great, view is awesome, porch is great and we had a fine week. However, to list this house as exceptional is false advertising. It needs some work and attention.

Amazing Grace is a great place to stay! Wonderful views! Just steps from the beach & beautiful surf. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole place is especially clean and bug free. Plenty of towels & other linens, and the most comfortable beds. Would love to come back! Great communication with Steve, the owner.

When we had problems with the air conditioning unit he responded immediately to my concerns and the problem was quickly resolved. Absolutely Amazing Grace
Wow!! Such a beautiful home and location. Everything in the property description was perfectly accurate. The owners were more than gracious and responded so quickly to my questions. Steve Morrison the owner even texted me some of his favorite restaurants in the area and we enjoyed delicious fresh seafood with waterfront dining for dinner and fantastic bagels for breakfast one morning. I highly recommend Amazing Grace as the perfect vacation spot and any additional properties that Steve and his wife own.

All about the view
The view was amazing. The rest was so so. Really needs some attention. The beds were awful. Most of dining chairs were broken. The living room furniture was dirty and worn, very uncomfortable. Lots of marks on walls. Can't use stove, its electric coil stove and the drip pans were replaced with ones that are too big so the heating unit doesnt sit flat. Didnt find that out until almost end of week. No screens. We had a problem during stay and owner was very quick to respond. No complaints there. The tv remotes, batterries dead and they were so dirty i wanted to use gloves. Super frustrating to get any 1 of them to work. Had i paid the in season rate, I would have been very upset. As it was, we overpaid, but the view is amazing.

Very relaxing!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Amazing Grace! It was wonderful to be that close to the beach and we spent the majority of our time on the deck reading and watching the ocean. Our dog goes with us everywhere we go and we were able to eat at a different pet friendly restaurant every night. This was our first time in Topsail and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a great vacation at Amazing Grace. The location cannot be beat with the beach only steps from the back door. The house is clean and comfortable. The owner is communicative and responsive to messages - especially appreciated as we were there during Tropical Storm Idalia. North Topsail is a low key, quiet town and if relaxing on the beach is what you are after.....this is the place!

First family vacation
We had such a wonderful time. The location was perfect for a relaxing family time vacation. It was the first time our daughter-in-law and grandchildren had been to the ocean. They absolutely loved Topsail Island and being able to walk down the stairs from the deck and right on to the beach was so convenient. We had plenty of room for everyone with all of the comforts of home. It was perfect.

Could not ask for better view, extremely close to shoreline, excellent ac, ceiling fans, all appliances functioned 100%. Mgr. very responsive to request to have someone come and clean grill left in disgusting shape with food caked foil left on grill and no attempt to clean. {Previous BBQers just inconsiderate and not reflection on Mgr's responsibilities but was rectified within an hour. } Would book again when returning to N. Topsail Beach. Great stay. Also well locked gating on deck so our dog was secure outside and gave he gave it a two paw's up!
