CLEAN AND BRIGHT BEACHFRONT COTTAGE. PERFECT FOR SMALL FAMILIES!

Watch the sunrise from the deck of this charming beachfront cottage or spend an afternoon watching the local surfers as they ride the waves. Located on the quiet north end of Amelia Island, at Main Beach, Seaside Cottage is the perfect location to see all that historic Fernandina Beach has to offer. This 2 BR/ 1BA cottage is the perfect getaway for a small family, or up to 4 adults. It sits on pilings overlooking the pristine waters of the Atlantic. The only thing between you and the ocean is a sandy one-way lane (15 mph limit) used to access these quaint family beach homes. Enjoy the beach like a local! Salt Life Restaurant and Sandbar Kitchen are only two blocks away and are open for lunch and dinner. After enjoying dinner and drinks with an ocean view, enjoy a round of mini-golf , treat yourself to a snow cone or just enjoy the oceanfront park while the kids play on the playground. You will love this quiet, safe beach where City of Fernandina Beach Lifeguards are on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

After a day on the beach, stroll downtown to the Historic District to enjoy dinner at one of the many fine dining establishments. You will find everything from sandwich shops to 5 Star Restaurants. After dinner, swing by the local coffee shop for dessert and a cafe au lait, or cross the street to Fantastic Fudge to watch candy being made by hand. Don't forget to check out the local boutiques, art galleries and antique shops.

After the sun goes down, you'll want to visit the local pubs, where you will find a variety of live music. Bike, moped and golf cart rentals are available from local vendors. Each Saturday morning there is a local farmer's market where you can buy everything from fresh vegetables and artisan breads to handmade enchiladas and boiled peanuts. If you prefer a pool to the ocean, the City of Fernandina pool, with its incredible kids splash pad is a 5 minute walk. Non-residents can use the city pool for a nominal fee. The kid's will enjoy the many parks and playgrounds, all within walking distance.

The light-filled cottage is beautifully decorated in blues and bright colors, and features a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, an additional Keurig and toaster. It is equipped with dishes, cutlery and pots/pans for eating in. The cottage has central heat and air-conditioning. There is one TV equipped with Roku so you can stream your favorite movies and shows. Guests sign in to their own accounts. There are two bedrooms, one has a queen-size bed and the other has twin beds. A Pack-n-Play and a high chair are available upon request. The bathroom has was recently renovated and has a tub with a shower. The front of the cottage boasts a large deck overlooking the Atlantic, complete with rocking chairs and a large deck box containing beach chairs. beach There is plenty of parking for a boat or jet ski.

Great little place
Excellent for two or two with 2 kids. Simple access to the beach and Salt Life restaurant (10 minutes walk). Only drawback to us was no cable tv to watch our news channel.

Great , quiet, and exceptionally clean cottage!
Cottage was very clean, everything we needed was there,and it was a very short little walk to the beach. we loved that it was very quiet and low-key. this was the perfect little cottage for me and my husband celebrating our 32nd Anniversary. The owner even left us a personal note and a bottle of Chilled wine for our celebration! We will definitely stay here again.

Simply wonderful little place
Location was perfect, house was clean and quiet, the beach was beautiful and there were plenty of chairs. The owner even supplied and new beach umbrella, mat, coffee, and a hand-written note. Just a quick walk to the beach and you could easily walk or bike to the downtown area. Perfect for our little family.

We loved everything about our week long stay from check in to check out. The home was very clean, plenty of towels/rags, extra blankets/pillows, lots of kitchen counter space, large table with plenty of chairs, nice beach chairs & umbrella to borrow, the list goes on. Takes maybe one minute to walk from the door of the home to the beach.

New favorite beach thanks to Kim's Cottage
We will definitely be back. The cottage was just what we needed and it's right on the beach! The cottage was very clean. It had everything on hand for cooking so we could spend as much time as possible enjoying the beach/view. We were able to start our days watching the sunrise and walking the shore, and then pop back in for breakfast/lunch. The beach was very clean and relaxing and too. We enjoyed tea/desserts on the balcony/porch in the evening to end each day. Fernandina is now our new favorite beach. We also did the beach creek boat tour that a another guest recommended, the whole family enjoyed it.

Oceanfront
The only thing between the house and the beach is a little one way road covered in sand and some sand dunes. We found a lot of shark teeth and enjoyed the beach without crowds. We were close enough that my kids could run back to the house for something without us worrying. Kim was great to work with, the house was clean, we used the board games on a rainy day, we used the washer and dryer every day, and the beds were all comfy. No issues with the house or the owner whatsoever and highly recommend if youā€™re staying in the area.
