Come and stay with us at Moody Woods on this beautiful, wooded, large 1 acre home nestled among the pine trees! The gate can be closed to fully fence in the yard. Plenty of space for some of the outdoor games - or bring your own!

You will feel like you are out in the woods, yet everything is not very far way. For groceries, to shopping, golf courses - many close options to choose from. And if you want to visit the beach during your stay, you are a 30 minute ride away. If you're looking for some delicious fresh fish, shrimp, crab legs, or oysters - you are right in between 2 of the area's best places - in Whitey's Fish Camp and the OP Fish House and Oyster Bar! We have a lot of games for both indoor & outdoor fun! Great yard for your dog too! Pet Friendly - additional cleaning/pet hair removal fee required. Pets must be disclosed in advance. Fee is per pet. All dogs are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All items above are the sole responsibility of the dog owner. Failure to disclose the pet in advance will result in a $500 fee.

Please note: the driveway to get to Moody Woods is long - and a little hidden. We have placed signs up for better road visibility. But you will turn in and drive down a dirt road alongside a long fence - you will pass the garage of another home on your left - and continue through the fence area. There are motion activated lights that come on at night at the front of the house to assist with visibility. There really aren't any street lights visible back that far. **This is a 1 acre property in a very wooded area - so there will be a variety of native Floridians about - from birds, squirrels, bugs, and maybe a snake or raccoon from time to time. Please keep that in mind. The water is well water.

Moody Woods is next door to Moody Oaks - so if you need accommodations for additional guests - be sure to check that out too!

**Parties are strictly prohibited - as noted in the rental agreement. Penalties will be enforced. The property is monitored by Noise Aware as noted in the booking agreement.
**Charcoal is not included. Firewood is not included.

Guest Arrival is anytime 4pm EST or after. If the property is approved for early arrival, you will receive a message letting you know you can arrive early and we will activate the door code. If you do not receive a message, then the arrival will remain at 4pm EST.

Guest Departure is anytime 10am EST or before. If you have not departed by this time and do not have written prior approval for a late departure, you will be assessed a $50 late departure fee for every 30 minute delay. The Cleaning Services we use schedule their teams for multiple cleans in advance and any unplanned delays create issues. With unscheduled/unapproved late departures, they are required to bring in additional team members to assist, which incurs a higher cost that must be charged. Spent the weekend at Moody’s. Wonderful time. Relaxing, outdoorsy area. We are from upstate NY and Wisconsin and love the rustic, small town feel but with city life nearby etc. this was PERFECT!!!!! The place was so welcoming and clean, and our pup was also welcome. Will return. Thank you!!!😊

great yard for dogs!
Very clean home located right off of Moody Road. Positives - easy check-in; very clean home; comfortable mattresses with good quality linens on beds (we used 2 of the 3 beds, with no complaints); large fenced in yard for the dogs. Also, if you have a membership/guest pass, there's a great YMCA within walking distance of the home. Be aware that this home does use well water, which in this part of Florida has a distinctive "sulphur" smell and taste. We're not used to it, and preferred buying water to drink/make coffee. We arrived late at night and didn't know to bring water, but fortunately owners had provided 4 small bottles in the refrigerator which got us through the first night. We predominantly showered and did laundry at a nearby relative's home. The home is older, with uneven floors, older windows, etc, so expect that. No curtains on windows/doors. Neighbors have a rooster, which was a surprise the first morning, but we didn't really notice it after that. We spent most of our time away from the house and so didn't have a chance to utilize the provided outdoor games, picnic table, fire pit, or board games, but did notice there were quite a few provided.

Perfect in every way
My two small dogs and I were in town for a competition and this property was perfect for our needs. Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood with a fully fenced HUGE yard the dogs had plenty of room to play. The house has everything you could need including big Roku ready flat screen TVs. The bed was comfortable and kitchen even had a keurig. I will definitely be back next year.

Convenient Location
Our daughter and husband bought a house in Green Cove Springs, so this property was the perfect location for us to stay with our dogs and have our own space. Traveling to their house to help move them in was a breeze. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Friendly neighbors and very quiet. As long as we have our dogs, we will stay here when we come back to visit the kids.

Awesome Property
The house and property was perfect for my family, including our three dogs. We stayed for a total of a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Easy check-in and check-out. Having the yard fully fenced in was great so that we were able to let the dogs off of their leashes and run around. The house was very clean and fully stocked with so many great books and games! In addition, it was in a prime location with just a short drive to various restaurant/fast food/shopping options. My personal favorite being Whiteys Fish Camp just a ten minute drive away. If I were to visit the Jacksonville/Orange Park area again, I would definitely consider coming back.

Great Property!
We chose this property due to the one acre fenced yard for our dogs. They LOVED the yard! Our 2 yr old German Shephard ran for two solid days! She sniffed every inch of the yard and ran the perimeter of the fence several times a day. The yard is mostly surrounded by privacy fence with neighborhood houses on the other side of the fence. Chain link fence on the left side and front with only two houses on the other side of the clain link. Noise from neighbors was never an issue. The outdoor "game room" was a shed with several outdoor activities which our 11 yr old loved! We never got around to enjoying the fire pit, but it looks like it would have been fun...especially when the weather cools down some. The inside of the "cabin" was nicer than I anticipated. It's an old house so keep that in mind. The floors had that old house slope to them, which became kind of endearing after a day or so. The living room had plenty of seating. There were also a lot of games for us to play, which encouraged family time vs TV time. The only dining area was the high top table with 4 chairs. This was perfect for our needs. There are also 4 bar stools at the counter. The kitchen was not very well equipped for actual cooking. Very limited supply/assortment of pots, pans, baking dishes (such as 9x13 pans, etc), serving/cooking utensils and knives. We made do and purchases some things to use while there. I did mention this to the owner and she said they will take inventory and address the issue. A lot of people don't really cook much anymore so for those this would be totally fine. Remember the house uses well water so there is a slight odor to it when you first turn it on and the water is discolored in the toilets - but, it's NOT dirty. For me, the simple fix was I bought a gallon or two of water for my drinking. No one else cared so it wasn't a big deal at all. Having grown up with well water like this, I would save washing white colored clothes for when I returned home. Again, this is not a big deal. The beds were quite comfortable as were the pillows. The three bedrooms were all a good size. The master bathroom was nice and big. The only issue we had with the bathroom was the very weak water pressure in the shower. The front porch was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or an evening drink. Overall we would gladly return to this property, with out dogs! The owner was very quick to respond to any communication I had sent. For being in the woods, I saw NO bugs!

Perfect for Our Family
Moody in the pines was perfect for us. We have a couple of large dogs who always go on vacation with us and it was wonderful to be able to let them out to explore in the big fenced in yard without worry. They could go out any time they wanted. Also the property was so conveniently located to Jacksonville Beach and St Augustine, that it made getting back and forth so easy. Although, we could have stayed connected with the WiFI and wonderful TV options we really enjoyed the large private yard, board games and just spending time together as a family. This place is perfect for the serious dog owner or a large playful family! Loved the cute rustic old house. We would certainly visit again!

Great for family with dogs!
This served as our home away from home during our evacuation of Hurricane Ida. Sue was so kind to us and quickly responded to my messages. The home had plenty of space for my large family! There were games and toys everywhere, the kids loved it!! It had a real country feel, but was close to grocery stores and a short drive to the beach and zoo, MOSH which we recommend visiting. We were very thankful to have a place that made our dogs welcome too. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed so we could feel at home eating family meals together. I would recommend this place as a great stay for families with dogs and kids!!!
