Nestled in the New River inlet, The Osprey Landing offers easy access to North Carolina's iconic coastal living. Enjoy fishing, shrimping, and crabbing from the private dock, explore New River and numerous creeks with our daily kayak rentals, or head out along the coast in your own boat and moor it overnight on the pier.

Enjoy the summer afternoons and evenings by the pool. You can grill your catch of the day on the charcoal grill and go for a relaxing swim in the pool at your leisure.

The Osprey Landing is a private studio guesthouse on our property. While we are a family that enjoys playing in the yard with the dog or going out on the dock, we keep our cheerful noises to a respectful level. Though the potential for normal noise levels exist, you will absolutely find the atmosphere far more relaxing than you'd find with any shared, commercial lodging or busy neighborhoods anywhere!

About the Name:
Enjoy a sunrise or the cool of the evening from your private deck overlooking the river and you will almost certainly see a family of ospreys fishing from the tall pine tree above the guest house. There's an equally good chance you will see a U.S. Marine MV-22 Osprey flying down the river toward the coastline.

Please note: this is a studio floor plan. The standard setup consists of a queen bed and a small double futon. We recommend the space for two adults and two kids, and our listing settings reflect that; however, if you have a bigger party and desire the pack and play or to set up on the floor, just let us know and we can make the necessary arrangements.

We have adult and youth kayaks for rent, each for just $10/day. Please let us know in advance your plans to rent these, or we might put them to good use ourselves.

Cute Place with a Great View!
We decided to stay here one night before our family came down and joined us for our yearly trip. It was so peaceful and nice to have some alone time! A very stylish and clean interior with everything we needed. The view off the dock is beautiful. The hosts were both very friendly!

Friendly Hosts and Small Town Charm
We had a great visit. Their guest addition is a great place to spend a few days. The unit is outfitted with everything you would need and includes some extras like coffee, some baked goods, and board games that are a fantastic touch. The pool is larger than the pictures make it seem and the kids had a blast splashing in it to beat the heat. The dock is a great place to fish and you can catch as many small croakers as you want. There are also plentiful blue crab to be caught if you have the right equipment. The balcony on the unit is a great place to look out over the water to see wildlife and awesome military equipment. We were lucky enough one night to see a military aircraft launching flares and it looked incredibly cool. We renting the kayak and had a great time paddling around. The water is incredibly shallow at every part we went to so you don't have to worry about your kiddos falling in... Children of any age would be able to stand up and have their head above water. North topsail beach is around a ten minute drive and is definitely worth checking out. It was never crowded when we went and the parking was free at several locations.

Very enjoyable stay
The pictures represent the property accurately. The instructions were thorough. The communication & follow-up was exceptional throughout. We only stayed one night, but the boys and I had a good time fishing, grilling, and hanging on the deck overlooking the water. The folks around the neighborhood were very friendly and there’s a neighbor next door that sells fresh seafood & even bait. I would definitely stay again in the future.

My fiancée and his groomsmen stayed here the night before our wedding. They are all big fisherman and enjoyed the dock at the house very much. One of them caught a red drum! My now husband said the owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating. I will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends when they visit in the future!

Super stellar hosting from Stephen and family. They continuously communicated with us to ensure we were as comfortable as could be and after a long 5hr drive, checking in couldn’t have been any easier. Very friendly, good people. The location was far away enough to feel the comfort of being home, and away from the public while also only being less than 10 mins away from the beach. My family and I had a great time, we look forward to coming back! 😊 PS. For those reviews left about the bugs, the location of the home is prime - direct access to the water. Being that close to nature, will not be bug free but so worth the stay! The bugs are on the outside, the inside was kept very tidy and clean and the only bug we saw was a moth that sneaked in while the door was left open.

My husband and I had a great experience. Views from room were spectacular. We carried our own kayaks and it was so nice having place to keep them. And it was nice walking out door to dock and into boats. Great places all around to kayak without having to get in car. Plan to stay again.

Lovely, quiet river-front property
I took a solo vacation during the pandemic to get away from my family (I know someone out there feels me!) and was looking for a quiet, isolated spot near the water to enjoy some alone time. This spot was everything I wanted and more. The hosts were very communicative and gave me the privacy I needed (the guest house is on their property but separate from their house). I saw them and waved hello, but they respected my need to keep my distance because of the virus. They rented me one of their kayaks, which I took out on the river a couple times. I also visited the beach about a 10-minute drive away (with free public parking and almost no one on the beach during the week). The guest house has every I needed to prepare all my own meals, and the hosts graciously shared their NetFlix (and other) accounts. I was very pleased with my stay and hope I can visit again in the future!

Great Vacation Rental
We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our vacation in Topsail, which helped us avoid a lot of traffic and made traveling so much nicer. We spent time in the pool, kayaking, and fishing off the pier. Stephen and Teresa are great hosts. We would highly recommend staying here!

Teresa and her family are adorable and kind. Such nice people. Their spot is charming. The hamlet that is Sneads Ferry is a small fishing community. If fresh seafood is what you desire, buying it right off of the dock is not likely to be a problem here. We came by boat with a minimal draft.. no issues. The cottage is very spacious and well apportioned. Good job! I would not hesitate to recommend this location or the hosts!

We checked in, process is very simple and hands off, really. Walked into the cottage, A/C was turned down in advance and sitting on the table there was a note addressing us by name, welcoming. There was a fresh loaf of bread, water in the fridge and treats as well! Nice touch! Had a great time catching crabs on the dock and boating/ fishing daily. Great restaurants nearby but not in the hustle and bustle of tourism. The owners are great people and so are their kids!
