Escape from Hurricane Milton
We booked to escape Hurricane Milton which was due to hit Clearwater. The hotel is centrally located near many restaurants, gas stations and shopping venues. Hotel lobby was iimpressive and looked to be newly-renovated. Check-in took about 10 minutes. Our assigned room had a defective tv so after about 1 hr we were assigned another room. NEVER unload your car until you've checked the room to ensure everything works! It was near the office, gym and laundry room and ice machine. The room had a tv, working bar fridge and microwave but no coffee machine. If you want coffee, you need to go to the lobby and purchase a pod from the vending machine for $1.25 each. The beds were comfortable and large but had no dresser to store your clothing; however there was a small area in the bathroom that had hangers to hang clothing. Initially, we planned on staying 4 nights but ended up adding an extra night. After the 3rd day with no housekeeping at all, we asked to have fresh towels and our garbage cans emptied. It took making this request 3 times before it was actioned. The hotel has a lovely patio setting with many benches that you can sit out and enjoy some fresh air. All in all, the experience was satifactory and I would return if ever in Jacksonville.

I'm not a high maintenance person, I knew this was going to be no frills at this price point but I stayed here to evacuate for hurricane Milton and was on a very tight budget, not a vacation. If you have a choice or can afford even $20-$30 more a night, you can find somewhere safe and decent and clean. You do not want to stay here, and I don't think it should even be offered on Expedia. All that being said, the staff I interacted with were all kind, it's just not a place you want to stay if you have any choice.

Bed was VERY uncomfortable and noisy. I was supposed to stay in town until the end of the day but with my back hurting and being so tired from that bed I just drove the 3 hours back home instead. Found bugs in the room and the woman working the counter told me that it was ok and that they were from the rain. It had not rained there for a few days.

The room was mediocre, the walls paper thin you can hear everyone around you. The staff were incompetent When checking in I should have seen the red flags as three different people came back to the office complaining about their room or wanting a refund. I would not recommend this place and Expedia should not recommend this place.

I called to ask for my deposit back, and they transferred me to different phone numbers after asking for my information. If you can, please help me get my money back. Stayed here for 5 nights due to hurricane evacuation. It was our only option. Its an older motel with somewhat renovated rooms. If you're looking for a place to stay for 1 night and only here to sleep, then its ok for that purpose. Its your typical cheap motel in a bad neighborhood with people hanging around outside smoking weed. The rooms smell like weed too. They do minimal cleaning. The floors have never been mopped. They are sticky and the bottom of my slippers were black and covered in filth on the first day. Anything that touched the floor had to be thrown away. Tub was not clean either. I felt gross the entire stay. The lobby however was nice and they seemed to keep the grounds cleaner than the actual rooms. No amenities.

We evacuated to this hotel during Hurricane Milton due to safety and limited options. Hotel positives: electric, air, fridge, microwave, exercise room. Hotel negatives: Noisy, roaches (6 in 4 days), uncomfortable beds, uneven flooring, slow response by office/housekeeping for towels (waited the whole day—went and asked again in the afternoon), few cable channels.
